Tracy has a very close
relationship with her family. She talks to her parents on the phone at least once a day. Tracy's parents live only minutes away from our home in the house Tracy and her brother grew up in. We get together often with Tracy's parents for dinner, visits or just to lend a helping hand. They have been happily married for 50 years. Tracy's parents are retired and are thrilled about becoming grandparents again. Tracy's brother and sister-in-law also live only minutes away and have been married for 26 years. They too, are always willing to lend a helping hand even at a moments notice. Tracy has two nephews and one great-niece that is
three-years old. We enjoy babysitting our great-niece and she is so excited about having a baby cousin. Tracy's immediate family, including aunts, uncles, cousins and now their families, celebrate a family Christmas party every year, usually one week before Christmas, which has been a family tradition since Tracy was a little girl. This tradition has been easy to carry on, since her immediate family also lives close by. Tracy's parents have always been great role models by committing weekends, birthdays and holidays to family. Family, friends and neighbors have all expressed their support and excitement of our adoption plans. Tracy's Nana is anxiously awaiting the arrival of her 11th great-grandchild as the newest member into our family.
Rich’s Family
Rich and his sister were both adopted by his grandparents at a very young age. Rich was two years old and his sister was five years old. They grew up in a small town where everybody knows one another. Their grandparents (parents) are now both deceased. Even though Rich's sister and her husband do not live locally, they keep in very close contact by telephone calls and try to visit
whenever possible. They may not be able to visit as often as they would
like, but visits are always filled with laughter and fun. This may include a trip to a local amusement park, picnic or relaxing and enjoying each other's
company. Rich also has other family members that live out of state, which he is able to maintain a close relationship through frequent telephone calls and
e-mails. This past summer we were all able to get together and enjoy of week of quality family time. Rich has two aunts and two cousins that live within a short drive from our home. Holiday traditions include his aunt having Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. This is a very special time to enjoy
good home cooking and catching up with family updates. All of Rich's
family is looking forward to welcoming a new family member very soon.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home on a Fall Day
We live in a three-bedroom Cape Cod style home that is situated on 1-1/2 acres of ground with an abundance of wildlife on a beautiful country road in Pennsylvania. From any window of our home, we can watch wildlife in their natural habitat. Our home has two full baths, living room, eat-in kitchen, laundry room and a newly finished basement/family room, which will allow for many hours of family time, all of which is tastefully decorated in country décor. We have a deck on the back of our home overlooking the woods, which is where we enjoy grilling on the barbeque and eating dinner on most summer evenings. We have a very spacious yard with plenty of room for outdoor activities including a swing set. There is a detached two-car garage that is just waiting to be the home for bikes and outdoor play toys.
Nearby Lake to Enjoy Picnics, Boating, Fishing and Large Swimming Pool with Slides
There is a small park with a playground and ball field within minutes of our home. The elementary, middle and high school is only a five-minute drive, which allows for an easy commute for any extra-curricular activities. Nearby is a beautiful state park and several county parks to enjoy family picnics, swimming, biking /walking trails and fishing. There are several libraries, including a free library with
designated story time for children, and museums also all within a short driving distance. Within an hour of our home, there are ski resorts, water parks, amusements parks and a petting zoo.
We live in an historical county with picturesque landmarks. Tracy grew up in this community and her parents are only minutes away, along with many of her family members. Rich also has several family members within the area. We enjoy the small town atmosphere where everybody basically knows one another and is always there to lend a helping hand. We feel any child would be blessed to live in such a beautiful community.
