Rhonda’s family and extended family spends a lot of time together. Rhonda has 7 nieces and nephews and the eighth on the way. Rhonda's sister (Renee) and her 5 children live within minutes of the house. Both of Rhonda's parents are enjoying retirement, her mother, a former schoolteacher, and her father, a former owner of his own printing company. Their biggest enjoyment is spent spoiling their grandchildren; every new grandchild is a blessing to them. Rhonda's sisters and brother live in the same small town as her parents a short drive from our home. The extended family gathers for all of the holidays, weddings and celebrations. A lot of time is spent on the children especially and there is always excitement when a new addition arrives.
Greg’s Family at His Brother’s Graduation
Greg is the sixth of ten children. He has three sisters and six brothers; the oldest is forty-two and the youngest twenty-five. He has a total of twenty-two nieces and nephews that is a lot to keep tract of, so family reunions are a lot of fun. One brother lives in North Carolina, one sister in Delaware and one sister in Ohio the rest live in Kentucky although scattered, most of us get together at mom's house for holidays. We all get along good, and it is great because we all have different fields of interest. When one of them decide to build/add on to one of their houses they all pitch in and it works out really good. There is an engineer, a plumber, an electrician and three
carpenters for brothers so we make a pretty good family/team.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home
We live in a small farming community just minutes from town. Our home is located in the middle of our 300-acre farm; there is plenty of outdoor fun. We have a large yard surrounding the house for a child to play and explore. It is a 3 bedroom home, large kitchen, which opens into the dining and living room. We have a full basement waiting to be turned into the child's play area. A large deck is located off the living room, which is half covered, and a great place for outdoor activities and grilling out in all weather. We have a small garden located in our side yard where we grow fresh vegetables, melons, strawberries and more corn than we know what to do with! It is a peaceful place to live.
Hanging Out with Nieces and Nephews
We have family that lives on the farm next to us, just minutes away with three of our nieces and two nephews, who are excited about a new cousin. We also have good neighbors with several children to play with. In one direction just minutes away there are plenty of activities, parks, a large public lake to go boating, fishing and swimming. In the other direction there are both
public and private schools and a college recognized nationwide. We believe that this is a wonderful place to raise a child.
