Our Extended Families

When Chris’ Adoptive Family Met His Biological Family

Chris’ parents live in an upper-middle class community. His mom, Eileen, is a housewife and his dad, Frank, is a retired Business Development Consultant for an auto parts manufacturer. They adopted Chris as an infant when after many years of trying to conceive and one still-birth, they believed they could not have a biological child. Two years later, to their surprise, Chris' sister Jennifer was born. Jennifer is married to Dennis and they have two young boys, Andrew and Harrison. We are all very close. We enjoy spending time together either at Mom and Dad's or going out to dinner.

With Christine’s Parents and Sister Kim in Disney World

Christine’s parents live about an hour away. Her dad, Butch, is an electrician with N.J. Transit and will soon be retired and ready to spend a lot of time spoiling the one who will be his first grandchild. Her mom, Rose, is also retired and enjoys being home. She can not wait to spend her days babysitting. Christine has one younger sister, Kim. She is single and very excited at the thought of being an aunt. Christine has a very large extended family. We get together often and were all raised to be as close as brothers and sisters rather than as cousins.

Our House and Neighborhood

The Front of Our Building

We live in a second floor condominium. We have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, dining room and a small working kitchen. We are in a development with a lot of families. There is a clubhouse, swimming pool, tennis courts and they are currently talking about putting in a playground. The clubhouse hosts many activities for the children of the community throughout the year, such as an Easter egg hunt, a Halloween parade, a holiday party with Santa and crafts by the pool during the summer.

Our Balcony at Christmas

Our township has many parks and shopping malls. One park is around the corner and it holds events like dog shows, fairs and a huge Fourth of July celebration with a fireworks display that we can see from our property. There is also a 4H Club and YMCA close by. Our school system is one of the best in the state of New Jersey. Many of its graduates go on to Ivy League schools. We are centrally located close to New York City, Philadelphia and Hershey, PA. We recently went to Hershey Park to see their Christmas lights display.
