We live in a fairly new two story home that has four bedrooms. It has an open kitchen/living room with a big bonus room upstairs. Our dog Cinnamon, a yellow lab loves running around in the big fenced in back yard. James’ favorite spot is the play set in the back. When the weather is nice you can find us grilling on the large back porch. It’s our favorite place to be.
Our neighborhood is great and we love living here in Tennessee. We live in a family oriented neighborhood on a quiet cul-de-sac with parks, playgrounds, swimming pools, and a lake nearby. We always have to stop and feed the geese before leaving the park. The community has several kid friendly festivals every year and in the summer show kids movies in the park. There are really good schools close by. There are lots of children of various ages in the neighborhood. In the summertime we spend a lot of time at the pool.
We both come from close knit, loving and supportive families. Thankfully the majority of our family live near by. We see our family quite often and get together with the extended family for holidays, birthdays, and any other time our schedules match up. Our family dotes on James and is very excited about us adopting another child. They can’t wait to love on a new child.
We take trips with both of our families. We go camping with Myra’s family and every Spring Rich’s Mom and aunts plan a trip to Florida for everyone to get together. It is a great way to see all the cousins that live far away. We usually go to the beach or one of the tourist attractions. James loves playing in the pool with his cousins. Rich’s Dad’s family love sports and we all get together and go to a hockey or football game. This year we are also planning to go to a baseball game.
Every year we host a Christmas Eve party for our family and friends. We serve several different soups so we still have plenty of room for the big Christmas dinner the next day. It’s our time to remember how blessed we are to have them in our lives.
