Our Extended Families

Play Time with Our Nieces and Nephew

Greg is the second youngest in his family. He has two older brothers and one younger brother. His oldest brother is married and has one son. His next oldest brother is married and has one daughter and two stepsons. His younger brother is married and has a son and a daughter. Greg's father is a retired chemical operator and his mother is retired from the Board of Education. They both are enjoying retirement and spending time with their grandchildren. Greg's immediate family all live within ten minutes of each other. They are there for one another no matter what the need may be.

Throughout his childhood, Greg's parents were supportive of each child in every endeavor. His parents instilled love, respect and caring beliefs in each child towards others. While growing up, each sibling was active in athletics as well as the community. Greg's parents encouraged him and his siblings to set their goals in education and life and supported them in reaching their goals. Greg admires and appreciates his parents’ unconditional love and support. They are wonderful grandparents and not only supportive of our decision to adopt but anxiously await a new grandchild.

With Rene’s Parents

On Christmas morning, Greg's family has a tradition of getting together at his Mother's home and preparing breakfast, then exchanging Christmas gifts. The grandchildren take center stage as they open the gifts Santa has left for them at Grandma's house.

René is an only child. Her parents are both retired but remain active and have been married for 46 years. They live about 25 minutes away and we see them regularly. However, their residence will soon change as they have bought a home within walking distance of our home. They both are very excited and looking forward to being closer to their new grandchild and us. They are anxious to welcome a new baby and looking forward to sharing in the excitement of their first grandchild.

René’s parents have always been supportive of her, be it athletics or her education. They have encouraged her to set and aspire to reach her goals and have always given her unconditional, never-ending love and support. They look forward to our weekly tradition where we gather at their home on Sunday afternoons for dinner and family fellowship.

René has a large extended family. They have had a yearly tradition of getting together over the 4th of July holiday for a reunion with her Dad's family where everyone has a fun time. René’s extended family is such a blessing to spend time with because everyone laughs, jokes and has a great time together, and are always there for one another - no matter what.

We look forward to spending many holidays and family vacations together. We can't wait to visit Disney and the theme and water parks.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

We live on a quiet dead end street with a wonderful close up view of the river. It is an ideal neighborhood to raise children with plenty of quiet streets perfect for typical children's activities, such as bike riding or skate boarding and for taking our dog Casey for walks. Our yard is spacious and will provide plenty of room for activities your child will enjoy doing.

Summer Afternoon in Our Yard

We have developed a close bond with our next-door neighbors and have become each others chosen families. Sharing many activities together such as dinners, movies, church, parties, etc., which has allowed us all to develop a special relationship that we treasure. They provide continual encouragement and are supportive of our decision to start a family through adoption.

Our town is small but charming; away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet within reach of any conveniences one could want or need. Our town is situated between two large cities, either of which is within a short drive. We are fortunate to live in one of the states most highly rated school districts. Located within walking distance are three Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence and another is less than three miles away.
