Steve is the second of three children. He has a younger sister and an older brother. His sister is married and has two children, both girls. His brother is married with three children, two girls and a boy.
Steve's father works in the food industry and is the owner of his own business. His mother, semi retired, worked as a nurse for many years and now focuses on massage therapy. There is a strong emphasis on family members spending time together. Every Thursday at Steve's parents' house his entire family gets together for dinner. This has become known affectionately as "Thursday night dinner". This is a great time for the whole family to not only bond but also remain close to one another.
All members of Steve's family live within fifteen minutes of each other and speak daily. They are always there for one another, they always support each other. The entire family is excited about our decision to adopt a child; they look forward to a new addition to the family.
Barbeque with Adriana’s Family
Adriana is the eldest of four children. She has two sisters and one brother, all of whom are single and don't have any children. They are thrilled about the adoption and are anxiously awaiting the arrival of a niece or nephew.
Adriana's father is a custom house broker. He is well traveled, speaks three languages and is extremely proud of his heritage. Her mother actively volunteers her time in the community and at the church parish. She is also a phenomenal cook and enjoys preparing special meals for her family.
Adriana is fortunate to have her family just a short drive away. They spend much quality time together whether it's Saturday brunch or Sunday supper. Adriana's parents adore children and for the past five years have dedicated their time in December dressing up as Santa and Mrs. Clause for under privileged children at Adriana's school. They both can't wait to be grandparents and play these roles for a special little one.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home
Our home is in an ideal location. We can easily take a trip to NYC for arts and culture or a relaxing drive to the NJ shore for some fun in the sun. We live in a one family split level home on a quiet street within a suburban setting. While our house is spacious it has a warm and cozy feel. The family room with its cathedral ceilings and sliding doors to our yard is our favorite place to lounge; it is just waiting to be filled with toys and the pitter-patter of little feet. We have a large backyard with a deck and lush lawn, a perfect place for a slide and swing set.
Our Town Playground
Our neighborhood is family oriented and graciously hosts events which appeal to children of all ages. We have parades and holiday festivities all throughout the year such as our annual "Breakfast with Santa", "Easter Egg Hunt", and "Summer Carnival" complete with fireworks. There is a beautiful town playground, pool, and recreational facility all within walking distance to enjoy. Right next door we have wonderful neighbors who are well known in town for converting their home into a haunted house at Halloween and a winter wonderland during the Christmas season. Most importantly, our town has an excellent school district which is one of the reasons we so eagerly wanted to plant roots here. We feel very fortunate to be a part of this safe and welcoming community.
