Our Extended Families

Victor with His Sister Anna

Victor and Gillian both come from small families. Victor has only one sister, Anna Marie, who lives a few hours away with her husband Ken and their two daughters. He also has three adult daughters: Janine who is 26, Cara who is 23, and Victoria ("Vicki") who is 21. Janine is an accountant who is engaged to be married in November, 2008, and Cara and Vicki are both teachers. They all live at home with their mother within an hour's drive from our home. Both of Victors' parents passed away within the last ten years, but he was their primary caregiver while they were in their seventies and eighties and would see them daily.

Gillian with Her Brother Jason at Easter

Gillian has one brother, Jason, and one sister, Erin. They both live within an hour's drive of our home as well. Both of her siblings are currently single with the hopes of finding the right person to settle down with in the near future. Jason is a department vice-president of a bank on Wall Street and Erin is a teacher. Neither Gillian's brother nor her sister has children yet, but they both hope to once they are married. Gillian's parents are in their mid-sixties and live about a half hour away. They are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their first grandchild! They are both retired and spend all of their time together.

Although our family is small now, it is sure to grow in the future as our relatives expand their families by having children. In the meantime, our child will be doted on and treated with extra special love and affection while s/he will be the only baby in our intimate group!

Our House and Neighborhood

The House We Are Moving to in Nov. 2007

We are currently having a house built in a wonderful neighborhood of Northwestern New Jersey. We hope to be moved in by November, 2007. It will be an ideal spot to raise a child, and this is the most important reason for our move.

In our new home, your child will have his/her own bedroom and bathroom. There will also be a family room and recreational room for family time, homework, and play. Our immediate community is very safe. All of the roads are for the private residences, and inside this community are a swimming pool, playground, basketball and tennis courts, and baseball field. Families from a variety of cultures live within our development, so there will be many friends from so many different backgrounds to associate with.

Our New Community Playground

The public elementary school is near our home, and it is highly rated with a low ratio of students to teachers. We have an excellent high school as well, but we will most likely send your child to a private school so that s/he will have all of the possible advantages to prepare him/her for a successful future no matter what career path s/he chooses to take.

In our town, there are many parks, a large lake, and lots of nature for a family to enjoy. There are yearly carnivals, parades, and fairs that are held in the parks. Our church is a few minutes' drive from our house, as well. We are also 2 hours from the seashore and an hour from New York City. These are wonderful opportunities for a child to be exposed to, and we fully intend to share all that they have to offer your child.
