Nicole’s father lives on the farm where Nicole spent her early childhood a few hours away. We spend many weekends in the summer on the farm where we go on bike rides, pick raspberries or help with farm chores and take in the beauty and peacefulness of the countryside. We look forward to weekends with your child playing and laughing together, exploring nature on the farm - looking for tadpoles in ponds, or sledding down the hills in the winter. Nicole's
mother and one of her brothers' family live in California where we often go visit in the winter. They live in a beautiful area near the ocean. Nicole has a brother and two nephews in Florida and another brother in Texas. They are very excited for us to become parents through adoption.
Matt’s Parents, Brothers and Sister
Matt’s whole family lives nearby - his brother's family and two nieces, his sister's family and niece and nephew, his parents and his grandmother. He has
one brother who lives in Wisconsin who is expecting a child soon. We get to see them often and we all get together for holidays and birthdays. Matt's family has many good cooks and they all have a great sense of humor. Whenever we get together we bring a dish to share and have a lot of fun eating, joking and laughing. They are all very supportive of our plan to adopt and can't wait to have another child in the family.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home
We live in a nice suburb known for its good schools and a major university. We love our town because there are so many things to do but it also has a cozy neighborhood feel. Beautiful trees spread their large branches out over our street. We can walk to our main street shops, or just take a nice stroll to get ice cream in the summer. We are close enough to the city for day trips to great museums and theaters.
Relaxing at Our Town’s Lakefront Park
Our house is ten blocks from the lake's parks and beaches. Every summer our town holds several neighborhood festivals. Each year our friends organize a large barbeque at the lake and the adults and kids play games like croquet and soccer all day in the park. Our town has an ecology center where kids can learn about nature, an art center, an ice skating rink and community center just two blocks away from our house that offers many fun classes for kids. The elementary school is two blocks from our house, next to the ice rink and the largest park in our town. There are many families with children on our street that play together. Our neighbors across the street have two little girls and are adopting a third child.
