Our Extended Families

Our Niece’s Birthday Party with Rob’s Extended Family

Rob was raised in a Catholic household where he had attended Catholic School and was an Alter Boy. He was the 5th child of seven children in his family. Rob has two brothers and unfortunately one had passed away as a teenager due to an automobile accident. Rob also has 4 sisters. On his side of the family there are 5 nephews and 6 nieces. His father is retired from the military and now is the owner of his own landscaping business. His mother was a very happy stay at home mom which she found very rewarding and now enjoys to see how close her children are due to her efforts. Everyone lives nearby to one another which makes it convenient for the many family gatherings. It seems that every week somebody is having a birthday party. That is something Rob loves about being from a large family. Something else that is very helpful to him throughout this process is all of the love and support he has from his many siblings and parents. Everyone around him is 100% behind him and his decision to choose adoption and all are waiting to hear the good news when the big day comes.

Roz’s Extended Family

Roz was raised in a small town with her parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She has 4 nephews and 8 nieces. Her father, unfortunately, had passed away suddenly at a relatively young age and her mother is now retired after several years of hard work. She loves spending her time babysitting her grandchildren and the kids love going to Grams during the summer to cool off in her pool. Roz and her sisters also make it over at this time to help out and spend time with another. They are also fortunate to live close by to one another and get to spend the many holidays, birthdays and cookouts together at "Mommies'". Gram can't wait to have another little one to help look after and Roz's siblings are also just as anxious to have another little one running around the house keeping everyone on their toes. Everyone supports Rob and Roz in their decision to adopt and her nieces and nephews seem to be especially excited.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

Home Sweet Home is located in Pennsylvania. Our house is located in a country setting that is very peaceful and quiet. We live in a beautiful, spacious ranch style home that is situated on 10 acres of land. We have a stream that cuts around the edge of our property and we have it stocked every year with fresh trout for our annual fishing tournament with our many nieces, nephews, and friends children.

Backyard

Our home has three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a big television room, and a dining room. There is also a large family room situated off of our kitchen that has a gas fireplace and sliding doors that lead to our extended deck. We also have a large finished basement that is waiting to become the ultimate playroom. Our yard is decorated with beautiful gardens that took a lot of hard work and planning, the only thing missing is the swing set and bunk house. There is plenty of room for friends and families to stay with us and plenty to do while they are here. We have several state parks within 20 miles of our home. The closest one, about two miles away, is a great place to go camping and fishing last minute. The campground has plenty to do, including : swimming in the large pool, fishing in the lake, watching the local model airplane club fly their remote control planes, hiking, biking, and of course the ice cream truck stops by daily. We also have a church 3 miles away and are located the same distance from the local elementary school.
