Our Extended Families

Bret’s Family

Bret was raised in a very loving and stable Christian home. He has a younger brother, Ben, who has recently gotten married. Bret's father owns an electrical and plumbing company and is involved in real estate development. His mother is a retired banker who now sells real estate. As with many devout Christians, Bret's parents placed a great emphasis on family.

Bret's parents live within a few minutes of us and we see them on a weekly basis. We really enjoy hanging out with them and grilling out hamburgers and hotdogs. Bret's mother also makes a special dish of Enchiladas that are delicious! Bret has a very large extended family. We see uncles, aunts and cousins regularly. Bret's family meets every Sunday afternoon at his grandmother's house to eat lunch after church.

To this day, Bret and his extended family remain very close and they talk daily. They constantly call on each other for advice and support. They are very supportive and excited about our decision to adopt. Your child will be so loved and spoiled by them!

Pamela’s Family

Pamela has great parents who are very supportive of her. Her parents got divorced when she was a teenager. Her mother remains single while her father has re-married. Pamela has one older brother, Scott, who is married and lives within minutes of us.

Pamela's parents live within a very short driving distance from us. She talks on the phone daily with both of her parents. Pamela's mother does special things for her like cleaning up our house or helping her with flowers in the yard. She is a great cook and Pamela loves her homemade macaroni-n-cheese and Mississippi Mud Cake; it is so good! Pamela's dad is so funny. He is very animated and is a great story teller. He always keeps the grandchildren glued to him with his exaggerated story telling ability!

Pamela's parents are so excited about our decision to adopt. Our son, Jalen is the only grandchild that her mother has and she cannot wait to have another grandchild to spoil! She's getting ready to put the rocking chair to use when Pamela goes back to work. Pamela's dad and Angie have a total of 3 grandchildren but are so excited about adding to that number. That just means more grandchildren to love and buy for!

Our House and Neighborhood

Home Sweet Home

We love the community that we live in. Our neighborhood is very child friendly with several of our neighbors having children. There are parks, walking trails, a bowling alley, a movie theater, indoor miniature golf, race cars and many other "fun things" within minutes of our home.

Our Pool

We just recently built our house. We live in a spacious, ranch style home on the back side of 14 acres. We have 3 bedrooms and 3 baths with a huge recreational room. Our family room is very cozy with a rock fireplace and rock columns that separate the dining room from the family room. Our kitchen is opened up to our family room so you can keep up your conversation while you cook. In our recreational room we have an air hockey table and ping pong table. We love riding four wheelers, fishing and we enjoy cruising around in our lake on our paddle boat. We also have recently had a pool and pool house built. Our pool is L shaped, with a diving board, jetted slide and massage seats. The pool is completely fenced in and the landscaping is beautiful. We also have a wooden gym play center and swing set that is in the backyard. It has 2 slides, a rock wall, 2 swings and a glider swing.

We are very fortunate to live in one of the state's most highly rated -school districts. We have 5 schools in our city with only 2-3 grades per school. We love that the children don't have to worry about being in a school with other children that are alot older and bigger than they are. The school system also offers a great after school program and even a summer program. At the programs, students can receive tutoring, arts and crafts, computer class, reading and play time. The schools are all very modern with low student -to- teacher ratios.
