Steve’s Family

Steve is the older of two children. His brother is married with two children, a girl and a boy. Steve's father is a semi-retired mechanical engineer and private pilot who is now building an airplane. His mother is a part-time executive assistant and a full-time amateur contractor, overseeing the construction of her new mountain home. Both parents grew up on farms and appreciate this part of their roots. They both still live within a few miles of their childhood homes, and minutes from our home. Steve spent his summers working with his grandfather on the farm during junior and senior high school. He continues to get together with his extended family for traditional holidays and for the annual reunion during the Christmas season each year.

Steve's family is very supportive of our wishes to adopt. They plan to be an integral part of the child's life and will help us nurture and love your child.

Tammie is the youngest of four children. She has many positive memories of growing up and being raised in a small town. Her mom is retired and her father is deceased. We spend every major holiday together as a family. The meals are always a huge celebration. On the Friday after Thanksgiving, her sister wakes up in the wee hours of the morning for shopping. That shopping trip is the official kickoff to the holiday season.

Our family and friends are so supportive, excited and enthusiastic about our plans to adopt a child. There is an overabundance of love and affection for all of us to share with a new baby. This child will be showered with lots and lots of hugs and kisses. We know your child could be the baby who needs all of our love and attention.

Our Home

Our home is located where there is a strong sense of community and family. We built our home two years ago for one reason: To raise a family. It is a beautiful two story, four bedrooms, and three full bath house in a comfortable, family-oriented neighborhood. It has an open floor plan that has a spacious kitchen and family area with a gas fireplace. The formal dining room and breakfast rooms are on the lower level, along with the future nursery and master suite. Our home is situated on over three landscaped acres, much of which is fenced. Our home is perfect for entertaining and hosting family gatherings throughout the year and during the holidays. We are in a suburban area, with the all the advantages of country and the convenience of the city within a short drive.

Our Backyard

We love our neighborhood and community because of the liveliness. Our community has a park with a nice playground, and walking trails. We also are surrounded by amusement parks, animal parks, schools, theatre, and sporting events. We are also very fortunate to reside in one of the state's most highly-rated school districts. We live near great schools. These schools are up-to-date, and well funded.
