We were lucky to have had the opportunity to spend some quality time getting to know Nina’s birthmom and we cherish those memories because we are able to share them with Nina. She will always know that her birthmom was loving, thoughtful and sweet, and that she personally chose us to be her forever family. There is an honor and sense of pride in this experience that words cannot describe.
Nina is 2.5 years old now and is defined by her smile and laugh. She loves to dance and sing, and already knows how to count from 1 to 10 in english and spanish! Not only is she funny, but she is very caring, expressive and definitely a leader! In our nightly prayers, we always include one for the little baby brother or sister that is out there somewhere waiting to meet his/her BIG SISTER! We strongly believe that fate brought us together, and we hope fate has more blessings like this in store for us. We learned so much from this experience, and cherish it as a part of “our story”.
Meet the Family
Patty's parent's 40th Anniversary
David is the youngest of 3 boys, and I am the youngest of 3 girls plus I
have a younger brother. Our families are the most important thing to us
in this world! We are all very close and have always been there for one
another to celebrate the great things in life or to lend a helping hand.
Brunch at David's Parent's House
When David and I met, we were struck by how similar our families and
upbringings were. We were both raised in homes where our parents have
a loving and affectionate relationship. We were raised with Catholic
values and went to church every Sunday and experienced the joy of
sitting at the dinner table every night with our siblings and parents for a
home cooked meal. We realize how lucky we are to have this blessing,
and it is our goal to have the same traditions for our family.
We both had the opportunity to live abroad while growing up so we
were very excited to know that we shared an interest in learning about
new cultures, trying new foods, and discovering the world! We look
forward to sharing the adventure of travel with our children as our
parents did with us. Nina has already had a few exciting trips under
her belt!
