Dave & Janice with Both Moms

We have such a large family! We both have lots of cousins who have kids, so more cousins! All our family knows about our pregnancy problems & how the babies have gone to heaven now. The children ask us every time they see us if there is a baby in my belly! They can’t wait to have a new cousin to play with. They even wanted to put aside some of their old toys for their new cousin to have.

Both of us have lifelong friends that we have known since grammar school who are considered family to us. Their kids call us Aunt & Uncle! We attend their family functions & they ours. Janice has babysat for 17 years for all of her friends’ kids & Dave always brought over ice cream for them. Now they are pre-teens and can’t wait to repay the favor by babysitting for us. Between the 2 of us, we have 8 Godchildren! We vacation with a large group of friends every year in Vermont. Now, there are 20 kids under 12 years old in 1 house! The kids out number the adults! It is a crazy & fun filled week! We all look forward to it every year! Dave always throws the kids in the snow & has crazy antics that keep them laughing for hours!

Our Wedding with Janice's Dad & Family

Dave goes to all of his cousins kids’ baseball & soccer games. Janice tries to get to most of them too! Our cousins, Vincent & Nicole, lost their father at a very young age, so Dave has been there for them all the way! He attends the annual baseball father & son dinner with Vincent. Janice goes to her friends’ kids’ activities, like plays & art shows, and our niece just started cheerleading, our nephew started football, so we will be busy this fall!

We visit our family a few times a week. We always stop by unannounced for short visits. Almost all of our families are close by. The farthest is Janice’s brother & sister-in-law who have 3 children, who are only 40 minutes away. Janice’s sister lives down the shore with our 4 yr old niece. We still manage to see them all a few times a month. Dave’s brother & sister in law have 2 children & live nearby. Dave stops by everyday after work! When the kids visit Grandma’s house every week, we always find some time to stop by & visit. Grandpa always sneaks the kids gummy bears! Both of our mothers live 4 blocks from each other. So, we visit both moms in the same day!

Our family and friends are extremely thrilled about our adoption plans. They felt we should have pursued it a long time ago. They can’t wait to shower your child with all the attention & love that we have shown their children all these years! They are already making plans for welcoming your child into their families. Janice’s mom already talked about the baby shower she is going to have after your child arrives!

Our Home

We both grew up in the same town 10 minutes from where we are now & both of our moms are still in the homes we grew up in! We are 1 hour from the seashore with the boardwalks & all the rides & games. And we are also 1 hour from the mountains of Pennsylvania & Upstate New York! We are only a 1/2-hour ride, with no traffic ;) from New York City. So wherever we feel like going isn’t far.

Large Backyard

We both just absolutely love our home! We were in a 1-bedroom condo for the first 2-½ years of marriage. We wanted a home with a big backyard to raise a family. It took 4 years to find just the perfect home to raise our family in. Our community is a wonderful place for kids. They have Santa drive around on a truck at Christmas time with music. There is an annual Ho-Down at the park & a street fair for all the kids too. There is also a small town lake with a beach that all the kids ride their bikes to & hang out at all summer! A fishing lake is right next to the swimming lake.

We have a huge backyard that we are starting to plan out. Janice does the gardening in the front yard and Dave takes care of the birds & rabbits that live in the backyard! There are some deer that stroll thru every now & then too. Dave wants to build your child a big swing set as he built the one for his niece & nephew last year. We have an old WW2 cargo box the size of a small shed in the backyard, it is set up like a playhouse so whenever kids are over, that is the first place they run to. They will play there for hours!

We have a split-level home with 4 levels of living space. We already picked out which of the 4 bedrooms will be for your child. Janice’s mom & step dad want to buy the bedroom furniture for their new grandchild, like they did for the others. There is a big family room in the basement that already has lots of toys for all the kids that visit!
