Our Extended Families

Krissy with Her Family at the Beach

Krissy spent her childhood in a quiet bedroom community in Ohio. She is fortunate enough to have parents who have been married 35 years. They have been extremely supportive throughout our journey of starting a family and are excited to be first-time grandparents. Krissy's brother Jim lives in Northwestern, Ohio with his wife Mary Beth. He is now a software engineer and his wife is a RN. They too are extremely excited to become Uncle Jim and Aunt Mary Beth. When we all get together, we enjoy long dinners, trips to the park, bowling, and playing outdoor/indoor games. This past summer, we all traveled to the coast and rented a beach house for a week. Memories were made enjoying sunny days at the beach, water sports, visiting lighthouses, watching fireworks, shopping and enjoying delicious dinners. The family is eagerly awaiting the arrival of this child to love, hold and share memories.

With Dave’s Family

Dave also spent his childhood in a small suburban town in Ohio. His parents have been married 31 years and now reside in North Carolina. They are grandparents who are readily awaiting the arrival of their next grandbaby. Dave has one sister, Jen, who works as a sales/service representative for a local company. She has one son, Noah who is four-years old and recently started pre-kindergarten. He is close with his Uncle David and Aunt Krissy and talks often about becoming a cousin. When we are around the family, we love to go out to dinner, grill out, have campfires, play games and watch movies. Our family is closely knit like Krissy's family. After Thanksgiving, we typically drive out to the coast as a family to watch a Christmas show at the local theater and to buy Christmas decorations/ornaments. Dave and his family develop the Christmas spirit early in the fall. The family is anxious to share the Christmas spirit with your child.

Our House and Neighborhood

Our Home

We live in a quiet suburban neighborhood with supportive neighbors in North Carolina. Our neighbors continually watch over our house and are there for us if we ever need anything. We have children of all ages in our neighborhood, including biological and adopted children. There are three to four neighborhood events each year, such as cookouts and Christmas parties. Children are always welcome. Our neighborhood is located across the street from the local school campus that contains the elementary, middle and high schools. We envision the playground at the school to provide hours of excitement and lasting memories. On Friday nights, you can sit out on the back deck and hear football games along with the high-school band performing at half time.

Goofing Around at the Playground

Our small town is nestled between two larger cities. In the quaint downtown area there is a local park that has many fun activities for children, including train rides and a merry-go-round. In addition, it has a public swimming pool with water slides. Our community and the surrounding larger cities have a continual array of events, parades and activities centered-around children.

We own a four-bedroom home with an office for Dave who works from home. We both love Christmas and enjoy listening to Christmas music while decorating the house both inside and outside. Our house has ample space for a family and there is a guest room for grandma and grandpa when they come to stay. Our quiet fenced-in backyard is a mixture of grass and wooded-area, with plenty of room for a custom-built swing set in a few years. We have an extremely loving German shepherd named Bailey. She loves when our nephew Noah visits and plays with her in the yard. Ever since she was born, she has been shown nothing but love and has shown nothing but love in return. We are counting the days until we can share the warmth of our home with your baby.
