Thanksgiving Dinner with Our Parents

Our families are our guidance, support and friends. We are both very close to our families and spend much of our free time together.Our entire family is very excited about our decision to adopt and eagerly waiting to welcome your child into their hearts and lives.

Memorial Day Barbeque

Betsy is an only child who grew up in a single parent household raised by her mother who was a nurse. Her father was diagnosed with a brain tumor when she was 2. After many unsuccessful surgeries he was placed in a nursing home. He passed away when Betsy was a senior in high school. Betsy was very close to her mother. Betsy's mother made sure they had regular vacations every year. They have been to Hawaii, Texas, California, Colorado and many other states to name a few. Her mother was a very strong role model and made sure that Betsy was raised with good morals and values despite that fact that her father was unable to help parent. We spent a lot of time with my mother these past five years and unfortunately she was diagnosed with cancer and passed away a few short months later. Betsy was fortunate to be able to take time off to care for her and be there with her during her last months. Although she is gone we still remain close to several aunts and cousins who live in other states.

Jesse is the middle child with an older sister and a younger brother. They are both married and have young children. His parents have been married for 35 years. He grew up in a close knit family where his father worked from home and his mother was a nurse. Jesse's family went camping and fishing every summer and took many road trips. They also visited grandparents often and other extended family members who live nearby. We spend lots of evenings and weekends together having dinner and chatting, as everyone gets along so well. We spend every holiday and birthday together celebrating. We enjoy playing outdoor games together such as football and having grill outs. There is always a lot of liveliness when we are all together and a lot of love.

Our Home

We live in a new neighborhood with lots of parks and walking trails. There are lots of young families of different cultures and it is very friendly. We have a semi-annual block party every year where everyone gets together and has a good time and eats lots of food and the kids play on one of the park’s jungle gyms. We live in a suburban community. We love Minnesota. Both of us have grown up here and really appreciate having all four seasons. We enjoy summer walks, winter snowmobiling, fall leaves and spring flowers.

A Neighborhood Park

Our home has an open floor plan. When we bought it we had children in mind. We have a huge backyard that is fenced and one day we plan to put a swing set or jungle gym toy in it. Our home has 4 bedrooms 3 of which are on one level and we have a walk out basement of which several people have referred to as half a football field that we can't wait to fill with toys and games.

There is currently a new elementary school being built within walking distance and we live in a high rated school district for our state.
