Bob: I was born and raised in a suburb of Chicago. I am the oldest of three boys. My parents are retired and enjoy traveling the United States in their RV throughout the year. My two younger brothers Bill and Brad are both living on the West Coast. Bill is working at a college and loves the beach. Brad is currently producing music and loves to play and travel with his band. One thing I find extremely special is that all of my grandparents are still alive. Our son Caleb enjoys visiting with them and they are anxiously awaiting the arrival of another great-grandchild that they can love. When we discussed adoption with my family they were extremely excited and supportive in our decision.
Maggie’s Extended Family
Maggie: I was born in Ohio and I am the middle child of three girls. My parents are still working and love to travel. Whether it is to see their children, grandchildren or just for leisure. My older sister Talisa lives in Arkansas with my niece Mackenzie and my nephew Tyler. My younger sister Gretchen lives in Illinois with my three nieces Gabby, Jessica and Bianca. One of my favorite family traditions is getting everyone together in one place at least once a year. Children in my family have always been a priority especially since I have three of my grandparents still living. My grandparents love being around the children, they say it keeps them "young". So when we decided to expand our family by adoption they could not have been happier for us!
Our House and Neighborhood
Home Sweet Home
In the summer of 2007 we relocated from Illinois to this beautiful suburb in Maryland. We live in a spacious 3,000 square foot home on a half acre lot. Our house is located on a quiet cudlesac against the woods. Our home has four bedrooms, 2.5 baths and a dining room to enjoy our holiday dinners. We have a big family room to watch and enjoy our family movie night we also have a first floor study and a large eat-in kitchen. A huge walkout basement leads to a fenced in backyard with a swing set (that your child will enjoy throughout the year).
Our Backyard with Swing Set
We are only three blocks from the elementary school where your child will attend. Our neighborhood is full with children of all ages. Our son's favorite activity is playing basketball, kickball, baseball and skateboarding with all the other children in the cudlesac. Our neighborhood is very family oriented with walking trails, parks and playgrounds near by. We are within a few hours drive to our Nation's Capital, Hershey, Pennsylvania (That's right, the chocolate bar), New York City and the Atlantic Ocean. The
surrounding communities have a small town feel yet have movie theaters, shopping, restaurants and fun summer time festivals. Farmer Markets are also fun to walk-thru and see all the fresh foods grown locally and all the beautiful crafts that have been made. We are very involved with the parks and recreation athletics for our son. Football and lacrosse just name a few.
