Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home
Our home is located on an acre of property, within a cul-de-sac. It is a heavily wooded area which has a beautiful park like feel to it. There are five other homes on our block. We have a two story, four bedroom house with a large front porch. Our finished basement has been converted into a large playroom full of toys. The backyard is our own private oasis. It has rock gardens, a pond, tiki bar, a large patio for family BBQ's. During the summer we enjoy swimming in the pool, planting in the garden, swinging the children in the swing set, a game of basketball, badminton or horseshoes. Are favorite of all of these is crochet. There are four parks in our town, two of which have beautiful water views. On a nice summer day there are tons of children playing together, it's so peaceful.
Our Home in Italy
We also have a summer house located in Vincenzo's hometown. It is on a hill along the Mediterranean coast of Italy, surrounded by the islands of Capri, Procida and Ischia. His mother and sister live only steps away. The family property has four acres of land covered with orange trees, lemon trees, and many other fruit trees There is a large garden where all the vegetables are grown. Most of the food they eat comes right from the land. The small town is filled with outdoor café's, some along the hilltops over looking the incredible view of the sea. Something unique in Italy, is every town has a piazza (square). The piazza in the center of town is a favorite gathering place for both the young and old.
