We have a close knit family. Our parents, sibling, and niece all live within driving distance, as do much of our extended family. We see our family often, and look forward to our times together whether it is everyone just spending the weekend at Craig's parents house or celebrating a birthday or holiday together. Your child will be a very welcomed addition to a close family.
Extended Family
Craig was raised in a very stable, loving, traditional family. He is the older of two children. His sister is married and they have an adorable 2 ½ year old, our niece Chloe. She is very special to us and she will have a very close cousin relationship with your child. We love spending time with her, playing and babysitting her. Craig's family is very supportive of our adoption plans and everyone is very excited to welcome a new baby into the family.
Sandy is an only child. She has many happy memories of childhood with her parents, grandparents and extended family. Her parents both live within driving distance and her mom is making plans to move even closer since she is very excited to become a grandmother for the first time.
Our entire family is genuinely excited for us to finally become parents, and have all said that it does not matter where a child comes from; what is important is that a child comes into our lives. Everyone is ecstatic to have a new baby join the family! Your child will be very loved by many people.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home in the Spring
We live in a great, family friendly suburban neighborhood in New Jersey. We have the good fortune to be in a small community with terrific schools, easy access to many local area attractions, and a thirty minute drive to a major city. Our community is quite lovely, safe, family oriented, and adoption friendly. There are several children on our street and around the corner who were adopted. Our neighbors are all friendly people; many with very young children and/or babies. It is a very family oriented neighborhood with a sense of community. Each summer there is a block party for all of the families on our street with food, music and activities for the kids (such as the local fire department coming and putting on a show, games, and face-painting).
At the Neighborhood Park
Our home is a colonial style, single family house with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a beautiful eat in kitchen, cozy living room with fireplace, dining room, playroom, home office, and lower level family room. We have a large deck and fenced in yard for safe playtime.
The town park, which is about a block from our house, is beautiful and has a newly constructed children's playground, a lake with paddle boats, tennis courts, and lots of beautiful trees, flowers and grass to run around and enjoy. We visit often and look forward to spending lots of time there with a little one! We also have a great town pool, with a brand new water slide for kids and family pool events like movies under the stars. The schools in our town rank among the highest in our state, and the elementary and high schools are award winners for academic excellence.
