Mike is oldest of two children. His younger sister is married with three children. Mike was raised in a small town and grew up with a lot of children his age in his neighborhood. He fondly remembers family vacations to the beach each year.
Lissa’s Mom and Aunts
Mike has two adorable children from a previous marriage. Emilee is 19 years old and attends college where she just finished her first semester with a 4.0 GPA. James is 15 years old and lives with his mother. We visit often and cherish the times together. Even though Mike's family lives a few hours away, you would never know it because they visit often. Mike's family is very excited about having another grandchild to spoil.
Lissa is the middle child of five children. Lissa has an older sister, older brother and two younger brothers. Her older brother has three children.
Lissa was raised on a large farm and remembers the summer camping trips to the river with her family. Her family lives a few hours away but we visit them often and talk on the phone weekly. She has a first cousin who is adopted.
Our family and friends are overjoyed about a new baby in the family. We have lots of love to share with your baby.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home
We live in a newer neighborhood located in the suburbs of a large metropolitan city in Missouri. Our neighborhood is full
of young families. Our home is one of eight homes in a quiet
cul-de-sac. Five of the eight homes have small children. We live in a one and half story home with a full unfinished walk out basement. Our home is a four bedroom with two and a half baths. There is a great room with a gas burning fireplace and a dining room with bayed out windows overlooking a river. We have a large covered deck, a patio and a large backyard.
Our Children at a Local Park
We live close to an amusement park, zoo, children's museums, schools, churches and lots of parks including an animal park. Our neighborhood has a six acre community fishing lake with walking trails around it, it backs up to a large river and has gazebos and park benches throughout the neighborhood. Our neighborhood is still under construction with more stuff to come. We have a neighborhood block party once a year with a live band and games for the children. We have several get togethers a year in our cul-de-sac. Halloween is a real fun time in our neighborhood. The homes are decorated and the neighborhood kids stay in the neighborhood to do their trick or treating.
