Shon’s Family

We are both very close with our families and enjoy spending time with them. Our families are always there to offer encouragement, support, and love.

Shon is the second of three children. He has an older sister who is married with four children and a younger sister who is married with two children. His sisters, his parents, as well as his grandparents all live a couple of hours away. Despite the distance, we are able to visit Shon's family at least once a month and speak regularly on telephone and via email. Shon has many fond memories of growing up including early morning fishing with his grandpa and father at his grandpa's pond. He has been able to continue this tradition with his nieces and nephews but really looks forward to sharing the same happy experience and many new ones with a child.

Pascha’s Family

Shon's family is very supportive of our adoption plans. They are anxious and excited to welcome a new grandchild.

Pascha is the oldest of three children. She has a younger brother who is married with two children and a younger sister who is married with one child. Her parents live within minutes of our home. Her brother is a short drive away and her sister is actually our neighbor. Our large backyards are connected so her young nephew is able to visit often. He loves coming over to play with his Aunt Paschee and Uncle Shonny. Pascha recalls her family always spending quality time together in both spiritual pursuits and in recreational activities. Today family togetherness is still a priority even though everyone is grown with families of their own. We often go on vacations together and attend bible meetings together.

Pascha's family is looking forward to welcoming a new grandchild. They are very happy and extremely supportive of our decision to adopt.

Our Home

We live in a newer, spacious three bedroom/two bathroom ranch style home. Our home is located near a cul de sac in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. We especially enjoy our large yard. It is almost an acre and has many trees and open areas to run and play. We have been able to host numerous family and friend gatherings throughout the year. There are many young children in our neighborhood including our young nephew. The neighborhood children are often outdoors playing, bike riding, or taking walks with their families.

Part of the reason we decided to purchase a home in this area was because of the outstanding school system. We feel education is very important and wanted to ensure a great education could be obtained.

Our home is near many parks with playgrounds, pools, and walking trails. We are also a short drive from many lakes and rivers which we visit often during the summer.
