Bobby is the third of four children. He has an older sister, younger brother and a fraternal twin brother. As a child, his family always made time for one another. They were often seen together doing different outdoor activities. His family loved sports and spent many hours together throwing a football or baseball.
Dedication and accountability is something Bobby learned from his parents. Bobby has his father's smile and mother's gentle nature. Since Bobby was named after his father he is still known by family and friends as Little Bobby. Bobby's brothers have two sons each. Since they live close by he loves spending time with them. They often come over and we play games in the backyard including football, volleyball and baseball. We also enjoy inside games such as Twister, Candy Land and Trouble.
Carrie’s Extended Family
Bobby has discussed, in detail, the adoption process with his family. They have shown tremendous support and are eagerly awaiting our new addition.
Carrie is the younger of two children. She has many fond memories of being raised in a small town. Her father and brother still live back home and her mother lives locally.
Her brother Lonnie is married with a ten year old stepdaughter and a two year old son. Although we live about four hours drive apart, we make it a point to see each other often for holidays and special occasions. We remain close with weekly phone calls. When we are together, we spend most of our time playing with the children.
Both Bobby and Carrie are very close to her mother who lives in the area. Carrie speaks to her Mom almost daily and we see her weekly.
Carrie's family is also excited about our decision to adopt! They are ready for a new little one to pour their love into.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home
Our home is located in a subdivision with many other families. We live in a beautiful three bedroom two bath home. We have lived in our home for seven years and the neighborhood has proven to be safe and secure. Our home has an open floor plan which is great for entertaining. This openness has such a warm and inviting feel to it. We love to have family and friends over to our home as often as we can. We are able to be in the kitchen making last minute preparations and still visit with our guests. People always feel at home in our house.
New Playground Area
Our favorite feature of our home is a three panel sliding glass door that opens up to a large screened lanai. This lanai allows us to enjoy the outside, under ceiling fans, during those warm Florida days. We also tend to open the glass slider during the numerous family gatherings that we host throughout the year.
Our neighbors are great. There are children of all ages in our neighborhood that are often seen playing outside. Family is also very close by. One of Bobby's cousins and his family, which include three small children, live in the back of our neighborhood.
Our house is made a home by the love that resides there. Our love is nourished by our deep and committed faith. We attend an Assembly of God church that is about a fifteen minute drive from our home. We are within driving distance of many amusement parks, theatres, sporting events, lakes, and state parks.
Florida is a great place to raise a child. There is so much to do and many opportunities to create lasting memories.
