Our Beloved Parents

Armando grew up in a very united catholic family. He is the third of four children. His father is already retired from the construction business and his mother stayed at home after his younger brother was born. Armando's oldest brother is an architect, married with 2 children, his older sister is an elementary school teacher also married with two children and his youngest brother is a CPA also married with 1 newborn baby.

Raquel's Extended Family

Armando's parents have been married for over 45 years and have always emphasized the importance of family union, religious beliefs, moral values and good education. Armando has many fond memories of his childhood which include vacation to his grandparents’ farm where he had contact with livestock, pigs, chickens and various other farm animals. As a young man he was encouraged to be involved with school clubs and sports, and as a result, he had many friends and a very happy childhood. His family keeps a very close contact via weekly phone calls and e-mails and they are very excited with the adoption process and are already preparing their selves for the arrival of the youngest family member.

Raquel is the second of four children. Both of her parents which are married for almost 40 years had careers as English professors and high school principals before retiring. Her older sister works as a CPA and is single, her younger brother is married with 2 kids and another baby girl on the way. Her youngest brother passed away 10 years ago after a life-long battle with a tumor. This experience has united them even more keeping in very close communication sharing their deep catholic religious beliefs and constantly turning to one another for advice and support.

Our Home

We have recently bought a new home thinking in raising our family. It is a beautiful two story home located in a quiet residential family oriented area situated at the suburbs of a large metropolitan city, our home has an open kitchen area, heart room, family room, 5 bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, two "bonus" rooms used as library and prayer room respectively and a finished basement with enough space for "camping" and plays with a walk out door to a beautiful green area.

Our Back Yard

We love our neighborhood which is full of children and people of different cultures mainly young families. Church and school are very close and our community has one of the country’s highest rated school district with a low student to teacher ratio. Two huge park areas and water-parks are located very close to our community.
