On Vacation with Jeff’s Extended Family in Jamaica

Getting together with our families is always an adventure. We have both been blessed for having very supportive and loving families who are overjoyed with our decision to adopt. All of our nieces and nephews are so excited about the prospect of having a new cousin to play with and to show them the ropes. Your child will have so much love and warmth from both of us and all of our family members.

Holidays and birthdays are always special and fun, always including both of our families. We love the chaos when everyone gets together; there is always laughter. We are very close with both of our families and enjoy sharing our lives with all of them.

Celebrating a Birthday with Julie’s Parents

Jeff is the youngest of four boys who all live within 5 miles of us. He talks to each of his brothers almost daily and we see them for family dinners every week. Jeff has six nieces and nephews that we have watched grow into wonderful young adults. We have enjoyed attending all of their events, recitals, activities, and graduations. Sitting through our nephews 4 hour football banquet demonstrates our true commitment to family! Being a close knit family, we have taken many vacations with Jeff's brothers and their families.

We live about 5 miles from Julie’s parents, and see them at least every week for lunch or dinner. Julie is the middle child of an older sister and a younger brother, who are both married. Her sister has a 1 year old son that we love to spend time with and spoil with lots of hugs. Although both of her siblings live out of state we see them often and look forward to our visits. Julie also has several cousins who live in the area that we see regularly and we celebrate many holidays together with her extended family.

Our Home

We love to entertain, especially in the warmer months, when we can thoroughly enjoy our backyard and deck. Jeff is our resident chef and we often have our families and friends over for BBQ's.

Our Back Yard

Situated in the suburbs, we live in a spacious ranch style house that is on a one half acre lot. Our house has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. One of the bedrooms is next to the master bedroom and will be our nursery. The nursery will be full of beautiful bright colors and lots of stuffed animals for snuggling with. There is a large family room that connects to our kitchen and dining area. There is also a finished basement that has a pinball machine and a few video games. Our nieces, nephews and our friends' kids love to come over and play games in the basement. Our favorite part of the house is the backyard, which looks more like a park with lots of trees. There is plenty of room for running around in the grass and playing on the playscapes. We have a large deck and we love sitting outside on a warm day to enjoy the view.

Our neighborhood is friendly and safe and in one of the top school districts in our state. It is full of families with young children and our neighborhood association has a lot of activities that bring the families together.

We live in a very family oriented town. All of the subdivisions in our community are connected by paved walking trails, which make it fun to get around town by foot or on a bike. We also have several parks, lakes, and pools in our community offering a variety of activities for children and families.
