We were both raised in families that gave endless love and support. Both of us were brought up Methodist and were taught the importance of having morals and values. Our parents lead by example and helped make us who we are today.
Kathy was brought up in a well-balanced home and is the youngest of five children. She attended public school and was a member of 4-H, participating in several different clubs while growing up. Her three brothers each own restaurants and their wives enjoy lending a hand at the establishments.
Over the years she has welcomed several nieces and nephews. It is always such a treat to visit with them! During the summer months, there are many get-togethers at Kathy's parents house. Everybody looks forward to splashing in their pool and catching up with what has been happening in each other's lives.
Her family rallied around one another when Kathy's sister Barbara passed away from cancer. Although Kathy and Mark had only been dating a short time, the support Mark genuinely gave Kathy during this sorrowful time was amazing.
Spending Time with Mark’s Family
Mark is from a family of seven children. He and his brother Joe were twins. Joe sadly lost his life due to complications from diabetes. Up until his death, he and Mark were as close as two brothers could be.
His fondest childhood memories were the fun times at his grandfather's farm. Mark is an animal lover so he really got a kick out of playing with the pigs and horses. He also enjoyed the quality time with his grandfather while working on the tractor. Mark still reminisces about the farm today.
Mark went to public school growing up. For many years, Mark volunteered as a Fire Fighter, he enjoys helping in the community. He spends many tireless hours on the yard. This is something he finds enjoyable as well. Kathy is very appreciative of the scenery when all of the beautiful flowers bloom and fill the yard with color!
We see his two sisters quite often since they live near by. His brothers who live further away visit a few times throughout
the year, but Mark talks to them frequently and makes sure to keep in touch.
Both extended families are eagerly awaiting the arrival of a child. They know how much we desire to have a child to share our lives with and they see how much love we have to share.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home
We live in a small town which is located near a large city with lots to offer and many different cultures. Our community always has yearly parades and carnivals for everyone to enjoy. Our ranch style home is situated in a quiet and secure neighborhood where many families with young children reside. It has three bedrooms, a family room and a large eat-in kitchen.
Relaxing in the Backyard
We have a beautiful piece of property with a deck that overlooks the backyard. Many family gatherings and traditional barbeques take place here throughout the year. We can't wait to share these traditions and memories with your child!
