Kristin’s family is super close and all of them live with in an hour of each other. She grew up just down the road from her grandparents’, who still live in the same house. Growing up she got off the school bus at Grandma's, where her parents worked. She was always with her older and younger cousins. Kristin's parents recently moved so they would be just down the road from us and their future grandchildren. The family gets together for all holidays and birthdays as well. They are always there when we need something, and even if we don't. Kristin's family is thrilled that we have decided to expand our family through adoption.
Michael’s brother and his wife and two children live in the next town from us. They recently welcomed the birth of their baby girl. We have BBQs with them and hang out in the backyard, play horseshoes and play with our nephew on the swing set. Our niece and nephew are looking forward to having cousins to play with. Michael also has family in Colorado that we visit as often as we can. His mother lives a couple hours away with his 15 year old brother, who stays weekends with us occasionally. Michael's Grandpa and dad live nearby as well. His family also supports our decision to adopt.

Our Home
We live in a rural town in Missouri, which is still country living, but very close to a larger city with plenty of things to do. Our house is a beautiful earth contact home, with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It has a huge rec room as well as a large kitchen, bedrooms, and a patio the length of the house perfect for guests. It is nestled on a dead end gravel road with 7 acres and a small pond. Our backyard has a park like setting, with beautiful trees to climb, complete with a swing set and clubhouse that has its own mailbox!

Our community has many children and top notch schools. There are many events planned throughout the year with the little ones
in mind, such as a fishing contest and parades. We have all the
possible activities your child might be interested in close to our home. Our child care center is in a small community close by with close to 60 children that will be like family to him or her. Our neighbors are either grandparents or have children of their own. They are very welcoming and always stop to chat if we are outside.
