Stephan was raised in a very stable family. He shared a very close relationship with his parents growing up. He has one sister, Nina. She is six years younger than Stephan. She is also married and has two sons the age of four and two. His father was also in the German Air Force and is now retired. His mother was a stay at home mom and she was always there for them to help out with every issue. In his childhood they played a lot of board games and they often took day trips to explore the country. While living in Germany, we saw Stephan's parents every 2-3 weeks because they lived only 6 hours away from us. Stephan's extended family is fortunate to be financially secure and birthdays, Christmas and weddings are always big celebrations. Stephan keeps in close touch with his extended family members. During our time here in the United States they phone or mail each other almost every weekend. His family brims over with enthusiasm about our adoption plans. They are really looking forward to the arrival of a new family member.
Martina's Brother with His Family
Martina is the youngest of two children. Her brother, Stefan, is living with his longtime companion and they are proud parents of three children. Her father is a procurement manager of a big German firm. Her mother is a skilled cabinetmaker and these days she works also at a firm. Martina has a lot of positive memories from her childhood and was raised in a small village. She and her brother have also grown up very well off and on holidays they always went to a different country and learned about their culture. Martina's parents always believed that their children should be well-rounded, so she and her brother were always involved in sporting activities. In their leisure time they went hiking and skiing a lot in the nearby mountains. Martina also keeps in close contact with her family via email and phone calls several times a month. It is very important for her to know how her family is doing during her time here in the United States.
All our friends and extended families are very excited about our adoption plans and are looking forward to a new baby in our loving family. They will be very supportive and we can always count on them. We know that your child will need all our love and attention and we promise to give everything to your child.
Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home from the Front
Our home in New Mexico where we are living for now is located in the outskirts of a small town and has some beautiful mountain views. The house has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, a spacious kitchen/family room, office and a two car garage. The home is warmly decorated and has plenty of open space for a child to play. In our living room we have a nice fireplace that we enjoy every winter. There is also a nice backyard with a big above-ground pool. We have a family-oriented neighborhood and within a five minute drive we are surrounded by a small zoo, theatre, parks, sporting events, a newly open cinema, all types of restaurants and shopping. There are also certain annual events in our town that we always enjoy.
Our Home from the Back Yard
When family members or some friends from Germany come to visit there is plenty of space to stay with us and enjoy their holiday. Our community is full of young families and people of different cultures. We have a Catholic Church a few steps from here and we attend the mass regularly. There are also some schools two miles away which are all quite new and well-funded. Additionally we have some playgrounds, walking trails and a big outdoor swimming pool in our nearby town.
