Heather comes from a very close knit family. She is the oldest of five children (three girls and two boys). Both of her sisters are married and one brother has recently gotten engaged. All of Heather's siblings as well as her parents live within a 45 mile radius and they love to spend time together. They get together regularly for birthdays, holidays or just to hang out. They particularly enjoy spending the day at her parent's lake, riding the paddle boat, and watching our niece and nephew do "cannonballs" into the water off of the dock. One of Heather's sisters has two boys and one girl and we figure with three other siblings there are bound to be more nieces and nephews soon.
Heather's parents are thrilled with our decision to adopt. "Mimi and Paw Paw" live for spending time with their grandchildren and can't wait to have another member to add to the family tree.
Charles’ Extended Family
Heather comes from a very strong, well respected family. Her parents taught her about how to treat and respect people. They taught her about good family values and morals and gave her unconditional love and support. She has the utmost respect for her parents and wants to follow in their footsteps.
Charles is the younger of two children. Charles' sister and his Mom live within 30 miles. His sister is married and has three children, two boys and one girl. They love to come and spend time at Uncle Charles and Aunt Heather's house where they can fish, catch lightning bugs and enjoy the outdoors.
Charles' mom "Grandma Mollie" is so excited about our decision to adopt. She has been so encouraging and can't wait to have a new grandbaby to spoil.
Charles' family traveled a lot. His parents wanted him to experience different places and things. He shares his parents' love of travel and wants to carry on that love of travel to a child someday.
With all of our family so close there will be no shortage of love and affection for your baby. We are very blessed to have strong family ties and feel fortunate to be able to share this amazing network of people with your child.

Our Home
When we got married and began thinking about starting a family it became clear to us that we wanted our children to have an upbringing similar to the kind that we had. We decided to move to a smaller community similar to the kind of community in which we were raised. We built a home with a nice open floor plan on a three acre lot in a small town outside of the city. Our home has three bedrooms and a lot of room to run. We have a big yard to play in as well as woods to explore and trees to climb. We have a lake equipped for fishing and skipping rocks and it's not unusual to look out the back window and see deer grazing in the woods, or a family of turkey making their way across the yard. We love that we live in an area like this where we can enjoy nature's gifts but are still only 30 to 45 minutes away from the city where we have access to great entertainment, museums, hospitals and all of the other options a big city provides.

Our neighborhood is full of other couples our age and there are lots of young children who are always outside playing together, riding bikes or playing ball. We know all of the neighbors, their children and even their pets by name and we are thrilled to have found such a great place to raise a family.
