Our Extended Families

Nieces and Nephews in Carol's Family
Carol is the second youngest of nine children breaking the tie between the number of boys and girls. She has been blessed with fifteen nieces and nephews. Carol's family has always had a very close, loving relationship. As her family grew through marriages and children, so did the fun and excitement at family gatherings. Holidays with Carol's family are always filled with games, fun and laughter. Summertime gatherings include fun at the lake with swimming, boating and bonfires. We're lucky to be able to see Carol's family often. Andy is the third of four children in his family. All of Andy's siblings and their families live in the same town that we do so we're able to spend a lot of time together. Getting together with Andy's family is sure to include a heated battle of Trivial Pursuit. Another favorite family activity is spending time at Andy's parents' cabin hiking and watching the wildlife. Adoption is a big part of Andy's extended family. He has several aunts, uncles and cousins with adopted children from diverse backgrounds. Our families are both very excited that we are adding to our family through a second adoption. They are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new addition!

Our House & Neighborhood

Our Home

We live in an older four bedroom character home in a historic neighborhood. We especially enjoy spending time in our large backyard or out on our three season porch.

Biking through Our Neighborhood

We love that our neighborhood is so safe and diverse. Our neighbors are both young and old and come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. As a close knit community, we celebrate the 4th of July each year with a block party.

We live within walking distance of two elementary schools, five parks, biking trails, a river, baseball fields, an ice skating rink, a sledding hill and a public swimming pool. With so much to do close by we never run out of fun things to do as a family.

American Adoptions, a private adoption agency founded on the belief that lives of children can be bettered through adoption, provides safe adoption services to children, birth parents and adoptive families by educating, supporting and coordinating necessary services for adoptions throughout the United States.
