Our Home

We live very close to the downtown of a medium sized suburban town in New Jersey. There are kids and tree lined sidewalks everywhere. Bill's office is only three blocks from home so he is looking forward to coming home for lunch a lot to visit the new baby. The town we live in has many restaurants and shops. We plan on joining the local field club which has a pool, playground, large field, and tennis courts and this again is within walking distance to our home. There are even two private schools that are within 5 blocks of our house. One of them is a Montessori School which is affiliated with a local Church. The other is a nationally ranked K-12 school. We are very friendly with our neighbors and actually two neighborhood boys shovel our driveway in the winter and another one of our neighbors just recently had a baby. Our road is quiet and perfect for learning how to ride a bike. Inside our house, we are looking forward to building forts in the family room, making cupcakes and licking the bowl clean, hanging Christmas tree ornaments, playing hide and go seek, reading bedtime stories and making homemade ravioli. You can hear the laughter of children from our backyard so potential friends are close by. And lastly, one of the top hospitals in the state is located only 2 miles from our home. We feel very lucky to have just recently purchased this four bedroom home with a private fenced in backyard. We have the baby's room all ready to go. It is right across the hall from our room. It has a daybed in the room in case we need to sleep in the same room to keep a close watch on the baby.

Kelley's Family Making Homemade Ravioli

We both grew up in large, loving families. Kelley is the oldest of four girls and she is a dedicated big sister. Kelley's parents, soon to be known as Nana and Pops, are excited to welcome their first grandchild into the family. They live an hour away in Connecticut along with one of Kelley's sisters and they are looking forward to visiting a lot. Kelley's two other sisters live in Seattle, WA and Santa Cruz, CA. While we wish they lived closer, they both live in fun places to visit! Kelley's entire family gets together for Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, as well as trips to the family lake house, a trip to Colorado for some skiing, and even surfing in Santa Cruz! Kelley's family also has a tradition of making homemade ravioli. This is a recipe that goes back generations on the Italian side of her family.

A Day in the City with Bill's Sister's Family

Bill is the youngest of three siblings. He is a supportive brother and proud uncle of two nephews. We visit his sister and her family and Bill's parents in Vermont where we go four wheeling, skiing, make homemade maple syrup, roast marshmallows, and we even ran with our nephews in their first 5K road race this past winter. Bill's parents split their time between their two homes in Vermont and Florida. Grandma and Grandpa are also anxiously awaiting a new grandchild. Bill's brother lives in Philadelphia and no holiday goes unplanned under his watch.
