Our Extended Families
John's Family

We are blessed that most of our family members live close by and we can see them weekly. Attending our nieces and nephews' sporting events has become one of our favorite activities! We also like to invite family to BBQs at our home where we serve some of John's famous ribs.

John’s parents, brother and two sisters all live a short drive from our home. We have eight nieces and nephews and one great-nephew on John’s side. We see John’s family frequently at holidays, birthday parties, sporting events and other family gatherings. We enjoy playing with our younger nieces and nephews and talking or “hanging out” with our older nieces and nephews.

Jen's Family

Jen has two sisters who are twins. We have four nieces and nephews on Jen’s side. One of Jen's sisters lives out of town. Each year, Jen takes a "spring break trip" with her mom, her other sister, niece and nephews to visit her out-of-town sister and family. These trips have become a wonderful tradition.

We are also blessed that both of Jen's grandmothers are still living. Jen visits one grandmother a couple of times a week at her assisted living facility to play bingo and do puzzles. We enjoy visiting Jen's other grandmother at her farm in the country as well as getting together with aunts, uncles and cousins for hayrides and church picnics.

Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home

Our home is a three bedroom ranch in a centrally located suburb of a large city in Missouri. John loves being outside, and he can often be spotted mowing the grass, mulching and caring for the landscape. The inside of our home is best described as warm and comfortable. One of our favorite things about our home is its location. Work, our family members and the city can all be accessed in a short drive. In addition, our local public school system has been ranked as one of the top school systems in the state and our community has also been voted as one of the top places to raise children. We enjoy visiting the many attractions our metropolitan area offers and try to explore places we have not yet seen. We can easily access sporting events, museums, performances, gardens and parks. We cannot wait to take our child with us to explore the area, either to go back to visit favorite spots with our child or see brand new places together!
