We love our home and believe it is an excellent place to raise a family. We have a large fenced yard around our house and live in a rural area. At night, we can see stars and listen to wonderful nature sounds. We have screened porches and sometimes have dinner outside (or breakfast on the weekends) and can see deer out in the fields or watch the cows and horses in the distance while we enjoy our meal. One of our nieces lives right across the road and likes to play at our house. She can't wait to have a new cousin to play with! We are only about 15 minutes away from a school and the city but far enough away to enjoy the country life. We have a newly built, 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom home with plenty of room for a growing family. We live only a mile or two from church and from several of our friends that have young children for your child to play with. We live about an hour away from Little Rock and enjoy going into the city for concerts, sporting events, trips to the zoo, shows, and other activities. There are local festivals within a few miles that we have attended for many years with fun activities, foods, and fun! We look forward to sharing many new and exciting experiences in our home and neighborhood with your child.
We are both very close to our parents and extended families. Being with family, and raising your child around family is very important to us. We live less than twenty minutes away from most of our family and less than five minutes away from some of them. Kerry's sister lives about two hours away but we see each other often. Both of our parents look forward to having another grandchild and can't wait to be there for them in ways that only a grandparent can. Kerry's parents, known as "MiMi and Poppa" to their grandchildren, have a pony that my niece and nephew love to ride when Poppa leads it around for them. Sharla's mom, known as "Granny" to her grandchildren can't wait to have another little one to read to and tell stories to.
Because we live close, we are able to celebrate all holidays and birthdays with our families. Kerry's mom has a tradition where she makes your favorite meal for your birthday (any menu you request) and has everyone over to celebrate with you. We spend Christmas and Christmas Eve with both of our families watching Christmas movies, getting new Christmas pajamas (an old tradition), and just spending quality time with family playing games and visiting around the tree. Both of our families enjoy outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, and water sports. Sharla's sister has a family cabin and has everyone over for barbeques on the weekends. Everyone is so excited to add another little one to our family activities!
