Our House and Neighborhood
Home Sweet Home

Our home is such a happy and relaxing place. We have three bedrooms and an Arizona room (which is where our dog Cisco spends his time when we are not at home). Our favorite room in the house is our living room which is where we spend most of our time together as a family (talk, play with Cisco, laugh, play board/card games, and watch our favorite television shows).

Our community is a very culturally diverse and family oriented place. Our home is about five minutes walking distance from a great elementary school, church, and a park/tennis courts. We have a very safe neighborhood and frequently see families out riding their bikes and walking their dogs. Every weekend the park is filled with families having birthday parties or just having lots of fun.

There is an annual neighborhood potluck where friends and families get together to share food from their own cultural backgrounds. Our city also holds an annual convention that brings together adults and children from the community (from a variety of cultural backgrounds) to share their traditions of food, music, and dance. We can't wait for your child to become part of our community and build connections with other children.

Our Extended Families
Miguel's Family

Family is a very important part of our lives. Every Friday Miguel's family gets together for dinner so that everyone can catch up and eat yummy home-cooked Mexican food. Susan's family also gets together frequently to cook/eat. Susan's mom is a retired chef and loves to cook and teach family members how to make Middle Eastern food. Because we are a bicultural family we are frequently swapping recipes and incorporating different foods into our celebrations.

Susan's Family

All of our family members (including our rescue dog Cisco who likes to give kisses and receive belly rubs) are thrilled that we have decided to adopt. Most of our family (grandparents, siblings, 7 nieces and nephews, and 50 cousins) live close to us and can't wait to be involved in your child's life. We have nieces and nephews that are already asking when your child will be a part of our lives and be able to attend family functions. The child's grandparents are already calling in to request time to watch this child. There is never a dull moment when our family is together. We are frequently attending holidays, celebrations, birthday parties, sporting events that family members are involved in, school/band recitals, graduations, and award ceremonies. We are fortunate to have such a large family that is very close and involved in our lives. We can't wait for your child to become a part of our loving extended family.
