Our House and Neighborhood
Home Sweet Home

We live in a suburb about 25 miles from a large city. The city has a lot to offer families including a fantastic zoo, museums, theaters, amusement parks and major sports teams.

Our home is within walking distance to local parks and is in a top-rated school district. We live on a cul-de-sac where children of all ages play in the circle. With four bedrooms and a finished lower level, we have plenty of room for children to live and play! What attracted us to this house was the amazing backyard patio. We love entertaining both family and friends and our backyard is the perfect place for BBQs, roasting marshmallows on the fire pit, or playing in the yard.

One of the reasons we chose this home was because it would be a great place to raise a family. It's exactly the type of neighborhood we would have wanted to live in as kids. We have a large subdivision swimming pool where many families spend their summers. The subdivision has a small fishing pond, annual 4th of July parties, Easter egg hunts, and lots of kids are out trick-or-treating on Halloween.

Our Extended Families
Caroline with Her Parents and Brother

We both come from tight-knit loving families that live close by and we are fortunate to see them often. We spend a lot of time celebrating birthdays, holidays, or just getting together for Sunday dinners. Our parents' favorite pastime is spending time with their grandchildren. They are always available to babysit or have sleep-overs and are looking forward to adding another grandchild through adoption.

Caroline's family has strong ties to their Greek church and the community within it. She and her parents are very involved with various organizations and a lot of their social activities are organized through their church. Growing up she and her brother attended classes to learn the Greek language, Sunday school, and were in the Greek dance group. Her brother is married and they have three wonderful kids.

Joe's Family

Joe's sister is married with four adorable children who love sports and outdoor activities. One of our favorite traditions is seeing the kids perform in their annual church Christmas play that ends with the traditional snow ball fight (made of socks!). Family gatherings are full of laughter and play time. Joe and his brother love throwing the baseball or kicking the soccer ball with their nieces and nephews in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard. Our nieces and nephews cannot wait to have another cousin!
