Our Extended Families
Sailing with Megan's Family

Both of us are very close to our families and we are both lucky enough to have all our family live nearby. Megan is one of 5 children, who are all married and have kids of their own. We hang out with the family a lot, whether it is for birthdays, family dinners, or just hanging out on the weekends. Megan’s family also loves to play games. So, we can often be seen playing washers, Can Jam, board games, or one of the kids’ favorites: Pie Face.

Our Big Fat Greek Family

Greg has one brother who is married with 2 children. Greg’s parents immigrated to the United States at a young age, so Greg is a first generation Greek-American. When we hang out with Greg’s family, it is the typical fun-loving, loud, traditional Greek Family. Greg’s mom cooks a family dinner on Sundays with traditional Greek food. And even though Megan is not Greek, she is learning the language and we hope to pass it down.

We are blessed to have a third family. Greg’s late wife (Amy) passed away from cancer, but we remain close to her family. We see them often and they are included in our everyday life. In the summer, we have Family Fun Days once a week where we bring our nieces/nephews and Amy’s family and go to the park, pool, zoo, etc. together. We feel it is important to continue to have a relationship with them because Greg was and will always be an uncle to them.

Our House and Neighborhood
Home Sweet Home

We are blessed to have finished building a house for our expanding family. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 and a half bathrooms. We have a fenced backyard and our three dogs love to run around back there. Our backyard also has a patio and this is one of our favorite places to be. We enjoy sitting outside hanging out with our pups and talking with each other and our neighbors. Many young couples live around us, who also have young kids or are starting to build their family just like us. On cool fall nights, we have a fire pit on our patio and our neighbors come over and hang out. Throughout the year, there are neighborhood gatherings. All the kids play together while the adults hang out and get to know each other better.

One of the best things about our house is all the parks and trails nearby. We love to wake up early and take the dogs on walks or go to the Farmer's Market down the street.

Living in a major city in Missouri, we have many other parks and recreational areas within a 10-minute drive from our house, including a nationally recognized park, zoo, museums, and an outdoor musical theater. We have season tickets to the outdoor musical theater and this is just one of the many things that we look forward to having your child experience with us.
