We bought our home in the spring of 2015, and we love it! It is a four-bedroom, three-bath, ranch-style house with plenty of room for a growing family. Our home has a fenced in backyard and a finished basement with a lot of different areas for a child to play. We have really enjoyed working on projects around the house to make it our own and have recently updated the kitchen.
We have gotten to know most of our neighbors, and you can often see them outside going for walks or riding their bikes. Our neighborhood is also quiet and safe; since it is not a through street, normally the only cars that drive down our road are by people who live nearby.
We live in an excellent school district, in which all of the schools have recently undergone extensive renovations along with education curriculum improvements.
The total population of our town is just under 50,000 and offers many amenities of a larger city, while still retaining a small town feel. Every year, the town hosts several events that range from arts and cultural festivals, to car shows and carnivals. There are also many kid-friendly places like parks, go-karts, laser tag, movie theaters, mini-golf, bowling, skating, a water park and even a zoo only minutes away!
For us, family is the center of our lives. We are both so blessed to come from close-knit and supportive families. Spending time with our family and friends is what makes us truly happy!
Justin's parents are just a few blocks from our house which allows us to enjoy dinner with them or watch football on a regular basis. He has one younger sister who lives just an hour away. This would be the first grandbaby on Justin's side of the family, so everyone cannot wait for a little one to join in on our family activities! We are fortunate that Lindsey's family members live close by as well. Lindsey's parents are both remarried, and we are able to get together with them frequently for cookouts and game nights. Lindsey has two older sisters who are truly her best friends. They are both married, each with three children. We love to spending time with them whether it be celebrating birthdays, watching movies, going to the lake, or playing frisbee with our nieces and nephews.
We both have VERY LARGE extended families. Justin's dad is one of twelve children, Lindsey's father is one of eight, and Lindsey's mother is one of seven. There is no doubt that this child will have lots and lots of love and attention from grandpas, grandmas, aunts, uncles, and cousins!
