Our House and Neighborhood
Home Sweet Home

We live in a two-story, four-bedroom house with a fenced in back yard and a great park just down the street! We are close enough to downtown to easily enjoy the city's attractions, but far enough outside to enjoy a slower pace of life. Our neighborhood is safe and family friendly with many young families surrounding us. We chose our home because we knew it would be a great place to raise a family.

From Spring to Fall, kids are often seen riding their bikes until the sun goes down and there are many families outside grilling and greeting each other from across their lawns. We enjoy living within the city, but also close to a small town suburb with a local farmers' market and activities. We both work nearby and spend many of our weekends walking the trails throughout the city, attending sporting events or enjoying dinner with friends and family. The mountains and beach are both within 2-3 hours of our home and are a wonderful retreat for us when we feel the need to escape the city life for some fresh air. In the winter, you can usually find us snuggled up with a good book or playing a board game as we enjoy a less busy pace of life.

Having both been raised here and choosing to call this city our home as adults, we are so excited to raise a child to have the same love of our hometown!

Our Extended Families
David's Family

We are blessed to have both of our families living within 20 minutes of us. Both families enjoy spending time together and making many wonderful memories! All our family and friends look forward to welcoming a new baby into our activities as well. We have many friends and church family members with children who play an important part in our lives as well.

David's sister and brother-in-law have a young daughter that brings so much joy to our family events. From apple picking to Sunday afternoon meals filled with laughter and story-telling, David's family enjoys being together. His mom is a preschool teacher and has a boundless heart for children. As a wonderful complement, David's dad enjoys building and playing with new toys for the grandchildren (including a water table and new swing this year!). We are so excited to bring a child into this wonderful dynamic.

Erin's Family

Erin's dad and stepmother also live nearby and are eagerly anticipating their first grandchild. They are both retired and look forward to spending their time watching our child grow. Erin's younger sister just moved back home and is also one of Erin's best friends. We are sure there will be many memories made as we teach our child how to cook and play many of our family games together.
