Our House and Neighborhood
Home Sweet Home

We live in a new home with a large fenced in backyard with lots of room to play and lots of kids in the neighborhood. What we love the most is the small neighborhood feel that our development has. We have become friends with several neighbors and on any given day you can hear neighborhood kids playing outside together. We all look out for each other and the kids migrate from yard to yard playing games and hanging out together.

Our house has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and plenty of room for everyone. We have a large loft that we have turned into a play area for the kids. We spend a lot of time here as a family since it is completely baby proofed! We live close to several parks and in a great school district. One of the best parts about living in this area is the beautiful environment. We are less than an hour from beaches and less than an hour from the mountains! It’s not uncommon for us to take a short ferry ride to one of the islands on Puget Sound just to play on our favorite beach and build forts out of driftwood. Our kids have no idea how cool it is that they are able to ride their bikes on the waterfront board walk in such a beautiful city.

Our Extended Families
Exploring the City with Family

We both have very large and loving families, famiglias, or ohanas.....all depends on what side of the family we're visiting! We have several adopted family members (including Brian and Raylee) and love to celebrate and share our different cultures and experiences! Since we both come from non-traditional families, we have siblings, half siblings, adopted parents, birth parents, step-parents, lots of Grandparents, and everything else in between!

Cousins

While we have several family members in the area, the rest are spread out across the U.S.! It is fun getting to visit everyone on vacation. We value taking our children on adventures on the subway in NYC to the family farm in Nebraska! It’s been awesome watching the next generation get to know each other and keep in touch from afar. Over the past 10 years or so we have also enjoyed many family members coming out to stay with us – we feel like we should be certified tour guides! It's especially fun having younger cousins come to the "big city" for the first time. We also very much love family dinners and lazy Sunday afternoons with our local family. We love to entertain and always want our home to have an open-door policy for family and friends.
