We live in a small town that is just 30 minutes from the beach and 30 minutes from a major Texas city. This makes it very convenient to play in the sand, visit a waterpark, explore museums, attend sporting events and observe animals at the zoo. We also have the opportunity to visit NASA and learn all about space exploration. Our home is in a small gated community in a very safe, family friendly suburb. Our neighborhood has a nice mixture of younger and older couples. There are plenty of children out running around and playing during summer and after school. We love to visit the community park, splash pad, and library. The school district is one of the top districts in the area and offers a multitude of extracurricular activities for students to become involved with.
Our 5 bedroom home has a large kitchen that flows into the main living area, where we spend a lot of our time. We have a game room, furnished with a pool table, and a big media room where we can relax, watch movies, and eat popcorn from our popcorn machine! We love to entertain outside in our large backyard, complete with an in ground pool and outdoor kitchen.
We truly love our home and have a lot of room for entertaining, guests, and most importantly, welcoming another child into our family!
Family is very important to both of us and are consistently present in our lives. They are all excited about our decision to grow our family through adoption and cannot wait to meet and love on another child!
We live only 15 minutes from Heather's parents and about an hour from Heather's sister, Chelsea. We get together regularly, whether it's to celebrate a birthday, go out to dinner, be together for holidays, or just to BBQ and play in the pool. Heather's dad is always talking about how Jackson needs a sibling to grow up with! We also love to travel together! This past winter, we took a family vacation to Lake Tahoe. It was so fun for all of us to witness Jackson experience his first snow! We also love to have family gatherings with Heather's aunts, uncles, and cousins a couple times a year!
While Jeff's parents and his three sisters and their families live in another state, we make it a point to see them as much as we can. Jackson's second plane ride was to visit Jeff's family and see his Aunt Kate get married! For the last 3 years, we have a new tradition of having everyone down for Thanksgiving and it is a fun filled week with lots of laughter, food, and decorating for Christmas! We love spending time together and watching all of the cousins play together!
