Our Extended Families
Aeron's Family on a Recent Trip to the Mountains

Both of our families are diverse and include adopted family members.

Bob has 2 brothers and 3 sisters and 15 nieces and nephews. Bob's father is deceased, his mother recently deceased. Before she passed we told her of our plans to adopt and she was thrilled, giving us her blessing. Bob's family lives throughout the United States including Alaska. He is the godfather to four nieces, nephews and family friends.

Bob loves to play with his nieces and nephews, give them piggyback rides and even helped to teach some of the toddlers to walk. He was always to one to dress up as Santa Claus on Christmas to hand out presents.

Aeron With One of Our Godchildren

Aeron has 2 older brothers and 1 younger sister on her side of the family and 2 nieces and 3 nephews. Her father passed away when Aeron was 9, and her mom remarried a wonderful man with two daughters of his own. Aeron has several aunts, uncles and close cousins who she considers just like siblings and are eager to give her baby advice.

Aeron considers her mom to be her biggest hero. Her mom was a volunteer firefighter/first responder. She inspired Aeron to help others and think of them first. Aeron's family loves camping, fishing, hiking, family reunions, holidays and helping each other cook or doing home renovations.

Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home

We live in North Carolina in an extremely family friendly city, close to speedways, professional sport venues and top notch colleges. There are spring, holiday, summer and fall festivals all within 20 miles of our house. We live in 4,500 sq. ft. house tucked in a 35-acre woods but the mall, shopping, and airport is only a 15 minute drive away. Our house is only 12-years-old, 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 2 garages, huge chef kitchen, theater room, 2 acres of lawn and deer and turkeys walk through lawn as we have our morning coffee.

There are a variety of charter schools, public schools and private Catholic school nearby. 6 area parks, more than 5 local museums and the Blue Ridge mountains area a quick drive away. There is a new 120 acre park being built next to our house in next 3-5 years. Our neighborhood is great and secluded from the big city atmosphere. There are frequent festivals, church gatherings and play dates with children visiting their friend's houses to play dress up or the occasional huge birthday party gathering.

There is also a NFL Play 60 park within 10 minutes that the neighborhood children and adults love to visit as well. We love going to our local parks and amusement parks as well as the many historical sites.
