Our Extended Families
Family Dinner

We are surrounded by family and friends who are very supportive and care for us deeply. Our family has four loving grandparents and lots of caring aunts, uncles and cousins. Our family is very close knit and we are blessed to have Armi's immediate family and extended family within a 10 minute drive of each other. Since Armi's parents love to cook, we often enjoy stopping by their house for meals or simply just to stop by and talk about our days. Both of our parents are very kind, caring and love playing with children. Our parents to this day still call often to check in and make sure we are doing well.

Christmas Eve at Church

During the holidays we have a ton of fun at our family Christmas party and enjoy family traditions including overindulging in traditional Filipino dishes, Christmas caroling, karaoke and family games. We have a gift exchange for the adults while the young children are showered with presents. Growing up, we were taught that it is better to give than to receive, so during the Christmas season, we fill a huge box with gifts that is sent to an orphanage in the Philippines. We look forward to sharing these traditions with a child, and perhaps even creating our own new traditions.

Our House and Neighborhood
Our Home

Currently, we live in a cozy two story townhome located in a wonderful suburb in the Midwest, excellent for raising children. Our townhome can be described as simple, but cozy. It has the necessities, three bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, family room, and basement. We enjoy spending time in the family/dining room because we enjoy eating, chatting, and laughing. We are fortunate to live in the same neighborhood as Armi's brother and have an active part in the lives of our two young, energetic nieces. Our neighborhood has a pool for which we all enjoy swimming and barbecuing in the summer.

Local Playground

Our community can be described as diverse and family friendly. We seem to be greeted with a smile almost everywhere we go. This is a community where people are quick to help and look out for each other. In our town, there are several activities to allow a child to participate in and foster their development. There are an abundance of parks, indoor and outdoor pools, and activities to keep us busy throughout all four seasons. There are also several events throughout the year with food trucks, farmers markets, and even family movie nights at our outdoor community amphitheater. We can't wait to share in the fun of our community with a child.
