We may be a little biased, but we feel that our region is one of the most beautiful places in the world! Our community in Washington State is between two major cities with great proximity to spectacular nature and scenery. There is always something to do in our community and we look forward to sharing our love of hiking, skiing, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with our child.
Our city is socially progressive and values diversity in all its forms. Our community is very child-centered and there are countless activities for young children including parks, museums, and opportunities to learn a different language, join a sports team, and take music or dance lessons.
Our home is full of warmth and laughter. We enjoy entertaining others and often host out of town family and friends. Our spacious home is on 40 acres of property. We live a short drive away from walking trails, the ocean, parks, and a lively downtown area. While we love being out and about we enjoy relaxing at home, playing fetch with our dog in the yard, and working on our garden or wood projects in the shop.
We consider ourselves extremely lucky to live near our amazing parents, siblings and other family. Everyone is anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new child and they are sure to be spoiled rotten!
Skyler is the eldest of three boys. His youngest brother has a son who we spend as much time with as possible. Skyler’s extended family is quite large and all live local, making holidays extra special and busy. Be it the traditional July 3rd celebration complete with Birthday cake for Grandma, or the annual Christmas Eve gift exchange that involves packing the entire family around the Christmas tree, there is always something going on!
Though Taryn's brother and sister do not live in the same town, they get together as much as possible for family holidays and weekend visits at their parent’s beach house. Our young niece and nephew are excited to meet their new cousin. Taryn’s parents are both retired medical professionals and eager to spend quality time with their new grandchild. Family get togethers are often spontaneous and involve good food, board games, and a surplus of football.
Our family would not be complete without our 3-year-old Goldendoodle, Crosby. This dog adores children, loves to cuddle and promises to be a dear friend to our new baby.
