Hello! We're Jeff and Betsy. We hope this profile helps you see who we are and what qualities we have that would make us great parents. We have always wanted children, and didn't realize until a few years ago that we couldn't have them biologically. We were familiar with adoption, since we both have adopted family members, so after a lot of prayer and research, we found American Adoptions, and you!
We both grew up in the Midwest, and hold onto our heartland values. We are also both from big families (we each have 3 younger siblings), and have been very happily married for over 10 years. We are committed to our Christian Faith and have been blessed with a great marriage, a safe and comfortable home, and a lot of friends and family to share our life with.
We love being around children and have a lot of fun when our friends or family come over for a picnic or visit. We also sponsor 2 wonderful children, who live in Bolivia, and enjoy being pen-pals with them. Parenthood is always on our minds and in our prayers.
Betsy grew up in the country, surrounded by 4 acres, with horses, dogs and cats. Betsy was in Girl Scouts, Choir, Softball, and several musicals. Betsy worked throughout school to put herself through College for Computer Science. She now works part time, and does some volunteer work. Her flexible schedule will allow her to be a stay-at-home mom.
Jeff grew up in town, and was in Band, Track, and even reached the level of Eagle Scout. Jeff had his own full time lawn care business, which he used to put himself through College, and to have money to spend on surprises for Betsy. He graduated with an Engineering degree, and was hired by an east coast power company. He's been a Senior Engineer at this company for over 10 years. Jeff's income allows us to comfortably provide for our family.
Some things we enjoy doing together include: picnics in the park, watching movies, going out with our friends, cookouts, activities at Church, and going for a walk or bike ride together. We enjoy traveling and have visited a lot of wonderful places. We look forward to sharing these experiences with the newest addition to our family.
Betsy's hobbies are photography, crafts, woodworking, cross-stitching, and making jewelry. Jeff likes to grill, cook, do yard work, listen to smooth Jazz, read, and take long walks. On vacations we have enjoyed going parasailing, snorkeling, cave exploring, and even riding in a hot air balloon.
We both strive to live as Jesus wants us to, and the family values that we strongly believe in will be passed on in a very loving way. Please know that we would consider the privilege of adopting your child to be a gift from you and God. If we are blessed with that gift, your baby will be raised in a loving, happy, and secure Christian home.
We feel that God has led us to consider adoption as a beautiful way of bringing people who need each other together. We are convinced that God knows what is best for your situation as well as ours.
