Dear Birth Parent(s),

Adoptive Family Paul & Karen

We first want you to know how much we appreciate the courage and strength it has taken you to come to this decision. We thank you for taking the time to read our letter and for the opportunity for us to share a little bit about ourselves with you.

We met when we were in college and have been together ever since. It didn't take long to realize we had found a best friend in one another. We are both a part of close knit families and share many common interests. After several failed attempts at fertility, it was easy to see that God had a special plan in mind for creating our family. In 2000, we were blessed with our son Noah. We were fortunate to spend a short time with Noah's birth mother and witness her love for her child first hand. We continue to correspond with her through letters and pictures and would be happy to do that for you as well. We want very much to adopt another child and share our love with them.

As a family, we enjoy spending time together. We have so much fun playing cards, hitting the go cart track, putt-putt golf, having friends and their kids over, family movie night, you name it! One of our favorite activities is camping on the weekend. We especially like all of the corny activities that go along with it like sharing funny stories around the campfire. It's the simple things in life that we really enjoy.

Paul is the biggest outdoorsman in our family. He really loves being in the woods and is content with a fishing pole in his hand. Being in construction as a plumber, Paul has learned to be very handy and always seems to have a project going on in our home. Building our new home was sheer delight for Paul because it gave him a blank slate to work with! Noah loves to help his dad build things. As soon as he hears one of Paul's power tools start up, he runs and grabs his toolbox! In fact, the two of them built the wooden play set in our backyard.

Karen is very fortunate to have a job that allows her so much time at home with her family. Karen teaches 4th grade at a private school. Teaching is the perfect job for her because it allows her to fulfill her passion for education, and, most importantly, gives Karen the opportunity to spend summers, holidays and snow days (her favorite!) with Noah. In Karen's spare time she enjoys swimming, reading a good book, and shopping!

Noah is a happy 7 year-old little boy. He loves Hot Wheels, Lego's, and all things electronic. He keeps active through soccer, swimming, bike riding, and running back and forth to friends' houses. He is a beautiful little boy inside and out and he just can't wait to become a big brother. He loves to hear stories about when he was a baby and his favorite one is his own adoption story … he just loves to hear it!

Our goal is to raise happy, healthy children. We plan to do this by offering them a whole lot of love, a full education, a Christian home, and a lot of laughter along the way. We will do our best to help them realize their dreams and support them as they pursue their interests.

Thanks again for reading our letter and giving us an opportunity to introduce ourselves. If we are fortunate enough to be the adoptive parents of your child, we will be forever grateful to you.

Sincerely,

Paul & Karen
