We would like to thank you for taking the time to read our letter. We can only imagine the difficult decision you are facing right now and admire your selflessness and courage. We believe this decision is incredibly noble and reflects compassion and a warm-heart.
Our names are Brad and Tammy. We have been married thirteen years and knew when we met in college that this would be a lifetime journey. We are each other's best friend, and express our love for one another through our early morning "I love you," and late night hugs and kisses.
Though we know we are blessed to have one another, we feel there is more in our lives to give. The missing component, something we both have dreamed of, is sharing our lives with a child. From the changing of the
diapers, to painting the nursery, this has been a vision for both of us. Having tried unsuccessfully to conceive a biological child, we are now realizing that God has chosen to guide us down the path of becoming parents through your gift of adoption. A path we welcome and look forward to traveling.
Being a parent and raising a child is one of the most important and critical gifts in the world. Setting a strong foundation as role models for your child, we will constantly strive to show him/her unconditional love, support, and encouragement. We will provide the necessary financial, mental, and emotional backing needed to find happiness. We promise the best education, a nurturing home, and our undying devotion. We will always be his/her #1 fan.
To be a parent would be an honor and a privilege that God has awarded to us. As parents, we would lead by example and raise the child in a Christian home with high moral values and unconditional love. We would be role models; ones that show and demonstrate to the child how to live morally, speak honestly, express love, communicate feelings, and decipher between what is right and wrong.
We also believe in our heart that the child should be encouraged and supported to dream their dreams and become their own person. We, as adoptive parents, will be there to provide emotional and financial support that will allow the child to pursue their dream and find happiness in life. We feel that God has chosen this path for the two of us so that we can become the parents we know we can be.
We are good people with strong moral values and enormous hearts. To be able to share our love with your child would be the greatest gift of all. We cannot wait for the Easter egg hunts, the soccer games, decorating the Christmas tree and building sand castles at the beach. We essentially want to give him/her the great life we had as children.
We also want you to know that we will be open and honest to your child about his/her adoption and will always portray you in the best of light. Though your decision is incredibly difficult, we will show him/her that it was heartfelt and made with good intentions. We will do everything in our power to show the child that you only want what is best for him/her. If you desire, we will be more than happy to send you pictures and letters, so that you can be constantly reassured of your decision.
More than anything in the world, we want to be parents. We have so much love to give, and would be forever grateful if you chose us to raise your child. You will have answered our prayers in giving this gift to us.
