Dear Birth Parent(s),

We would like to start out by saying "thank you" first of all for choosing to give birth to your baby and second for considering us as parents for him or her. We realize that this has been a very difficult decision for you, which took a great deal of courage and unselfishness to make. We promise if you choose us we will love and care for your baby more than you can imagine. We recognize that the opportunity to be in the delivery room was a once in a lifetime event and we are open to being in the delivery room or the waiting room, whatever you would feel most comfortable with. The birth of a child can be a very private time for a mother and we understand and honor your wishes regarding the delivery of the baby. We will just be thrilled to meet the baby whenever you are ready.

Let us begin by telling you a little bit about us. We have been happily married for 10 years. Having a family of our own is something we have always wanted and when we adopted out daughter, Madeline, that dream finally came true after years of infertility treatments. To describe how Madeline has changed our lives seems impossible. She is the light of our lives. She has the best personality; funny, outgoing and loving. We cannot imagine our lives without her.

Both of us came from large families and have such fond memories of growing up with our siblings and we feel it is important for Madeline to have siblings and share those same experiences that can only be shared with siblings. Although we share a very fulfilling life together as a family, we still dream of having another child and want Madeline to have the enjoyment of a brother or sister. We are just overjoyed at the thought of a new baby in our lives and what it will bring to our family.

Madeline is such an outgoing child and just loves playing with kids that she will love having a full time playmate. We are sure she will love the role of big sister.

Although we share a very fulfilling life together as a family, we still dream of having another child and want Madeline to have the joys of a brother or sister. We are very excited about having a little one around the house and so is Madeline.
