First and foremost, thank you for bringing your child into this world! We won't pretend to understand how difficult this must be for you, but we can honestly say that we greatly admire your compassion, courage, and unselfishness as you face this decision.
We appreciate you taking the time to read a little about us! We have been married for eight years. Our marriage is based on love and commitment, and we can TRULY say that we are best friends. We make each other laugh and support each other always. We are fortunate to enjoy almost all of the same things, and therefore have a ball spending the majority of our free time together. We love playing and watching sports, entertaining friends w/ frequent cookouts and game nights, and taking our boat into the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico for fishing and snorkeling. More than anything, we adore mentoring and spending time with the youth from our church-usually doing these same activities! We are grateful for each other, and are happy to say that we see "eye to eye" on all of life's most important issues.
It has always been our hearts' desire and lifelong dream to share our passion for life with children. We have so much joy and love to give! As we struggled with infertility over the past several years, three profound things happened. As we fought through such difficult trials and challenges, a bond was forged between us that will never be broken. It became crystal clear that we were meant to adopt, and we were inspired by two sets of friends who found great joy through adoption. Nothing is more important to us than becoming parents, and we view adoption as a wonderful way to build a family.
Our family will live in a home filled with laughter and love. We can't wait to share our life's blessings with a little one! We believe parenting is the most important job in the world. We will raise your child in a warm, caring environment that emphasizes family, commitment to each other, and spirituality. We will provide a child w/ a fun-loving, stable home life and everything he/she needs for a happy, healthy, well-rounded life. With Allan's flexible hours and Melanie's frequent "teacher" vacations, we will have lots of quality family time. We will be very active in his/her education, and no matter what hobbies or interests they choose to pursue, we will be their biggest fans and loudest cheerleaders!!! Your child will not only be adored by us, but treasured by our entire family and all of our friends!
Since much of our extended family members live within a short driving distance, we thoroughly enjoy meeting for adventurous weekends where everyone from the youngest nephew to the oldest grandparent has a blast. Most of us are extremely animated and are often competing to see who can tell (and act out!) the funniest story. We are all very active and love romping through the yard for scavenger hunts and "Wacky Olympics" competitions. Everyone is thrilled at the thought of adding a precious new member to our "team"!
Our neighborhood is really family friendly. Our cul-de-sac has very little traffic and provides a safe place for children to ride bikes. There are numerous parks and ball fields and countless activities for kids. Throughout the year, our community provides exciting children's events such as Easter egg hunts and fairs and festivals that are fun for all family members! We are blessed to live in a coastal town sandwiched between the beautiful beach and a lake great for recreation. No matter what one's interests are, there is seriously something here for everyone!
