Dear Birth Parent(s),

Adoptive Family Gary & Amy

Hello! We are thrilled that you are taking the time to read our letter and are considering us as parents for your child. Placing a child for adoption may be the most courageous and selfless thing a mother can do. Although we cannot begin to imagine the range of emotions you must be feeling, please know that we admire your love, courage and determination to find the perfect home for your child. It is impossible to tell you everything about us or show you the love that we share, but please know that with us you will find a warm, loving, happy home for your baby.

We met through a mutual friend in November 2001 and we knew within a couple of weeks that we had something special. We married in May 2003 and have enjoyed a wonderful marriage together. We are best friends, life partners and very committed to our marriage. We wanted to start a family immediately, but had trouble conceiving a baby. After many failed fertility treatments, we decided to pursue adoption.

In December 2004 we were blessed to adopt our son, Leo. We have experienced first hand the adoption process and have felt the joys that come to the adoptive parents and also the sadness that the birthmom faces with her decision. Leo's birthmom was kind enough to trust us with her baby and we enjoyed building a relationship with her before Leo was born. We continue to talk to her and we regularly send her updates and pictures of him. Leo will always know that his birthmom made a courageous decision out of love for him. Your child will also know the courageous decision you made and we will honor your wishes for future contact.

Amy is a fun loving individual who truly enjoys life at all times. She is 32 years old and was raised in a small town with great midwestern values. Her family is the biggest part of her life and she loves being a stay at home Mom. Amy also enjoys being a step mom to Gary's eleven-year-old daughter Ali. They love their time together and enjoy doing "girly" activities while Dad and Leo watch and laugh. Amy's greatest love in this world is children and she can't wait to have more kids.

Amy attended college in Texas where she received a degree in sociology. Through college, Amy worked with inner city children in an after school program and was also a Nanny for a family of four. Shortly after college, she received an M.B.A and started working in sales until she met her husband, Gary.

Gary is a 38 year old "big kid" and is so much fun to be around. He was raised in a loving household with a younger sister whom he remains very close to. Gary has worked in sales and marketing all of his life. When he first started his career, he was a salesman by day and a host at a Mexican restaurant by night. Gary loved working in the restaurant business, and after a couple of years had the opportunity to be part owner of the restaurant. After nine long years in the restaurant business, he decided to move back to sales.

Currently, Gary is the co-owner of a home security company and has offices in four states. He loves his job and enjoys being his own boss.

Gary's greatest love in his life is being a Dad. His daughter, Ali, and he are very close and he cherishes all of the time that he has with her. He enjoys soccer games, dance recitals, vacations and even the Father-Daughter dances at school. Gary's favorite part of the day is coming home and seeing the new "tricks" that Leo has learned.

Our favorite activities include attending sporting events, traveling, golf and hanging out with our kids. We also enjoy all outdoor activities and taking our two Basset Hounds for walks in the park.

Together we will provide your baby with a loving, stable and supportive family. Both of our extended families live close by and are very active in our lives. They are excited for us to adopt another child and will love that child with all of their hearts. Your child will grow up being respected and encouraged in all that they do. Your child will also grow up knowing the courageous decision you made out of love. We hope to meet you and keep lines of communication open throughout and after the adoption process.

With Our Deepest Respect,

Gary & Amy
