First we would like to thank you for your consideration in reading our letter. We cannot imagine the
different feelings you are having at this time in your life. We can only say thank you for this opportunity.
We have been married for nine years now and have tried for most of those years to conceive a child. We were devastated when Tracy had to have a hysterectomy last year. We have put much thought into adoption and took the last year to make sure this is what God wanted us to do. We feel that being parents is probably the most important job anyone can have and we feel blessed that you are considering us for this
wonderful opportunity. We love children of all ages and personalities. Joe has a child Mason who is 12 years old and lives with us part-time, but we really long to have a child to raise 100% of the time. The responsibility of raising a child is huge and we are ready and willing to take the challenge. Mason is a very loving and caring child. He is very easy going and gets along well with other children. He is very close to our nieces and nephews and he can't wait to have a little brother or sister.
We may not be perfect parents, but we promise that your child will feel like the most special child in the world when he/she is with us. We will give him/her the best life we possibly can. This child will have their hearts desire. We will teach them to work hard, love unselfishly, and laugh often. We don't base
success and wealth on possessions, but on happiness. We feel that the best gift you can give a child is your time and we promise that your child will get lots of quality time.
We also feel that God should come first in our lives and in a child's life. We are very active in our church by working in the nursery and teaching children's church. Your child will get a strong foundation based on the Bible and biblical principles. They will be rooted in the church from the beginning. We attend three services a week, Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening. We truly feel that our strong faith is what keeps our relationship strong and joyous.
Education is also very important to us. We will do all in our power to give him/her the best education possible. We would like for him/her to attend a Christian school where they can learn without all of the worldly influence you find in a public school system. Hopefully, it will be the desire of the child as it is our desire for them to obtain a college education. We feel that a college education is very important in our day and age. However, we also know that college is not for everyone and there are many successful people who do not have a college degree. We will give your child the freedom to express him/herself in their desires for the future.
We will also do everything possible to make sure that your
child understands their adoption was well thought out and done
completely out of love. We will gladly share pictures and letters with you to reassure that your child is being well cared for and loved. We will continue to emphasize that you love him/her and you felt it was in their best interest to place them with us. We will honor your thoughts and feelings about telling the child information that you share.
We again want to say thank you for this opportunity. We have prayed for many years to have a child and we have so much love to give. We would be so grateful if you chose us to raise your child. You will have answered a nine year prayer.
