Hi! Our names are Kip and Lisa. Thank you so much for considering us as adoptive parents. We can only imagine how difficult this decision is for you. Let us assure you that we would give your child a caring, loving home as part of our family.

We have been married for thirteen years. Many people who meet us assume we are high school sweethearts because we seem so happy together, when in reality, we met later. We love being together and feel blessed to have been brought together as husband and wife.

Lisa is a teacher; she's been teaching first grade for most of my career and am now a reading specialist. She loves working with young children. It is so wonderful to be a part of a child learning how to read. Her favorite part of the day is reading a favorite story to a class. Lisa dreams of the day when she will share her favorites with a child of our own. Kip is a builder/contractor. He has had his own business since before we were married. He has a real gift for being able to see the possibilities in a house and work with homeowners to make their dreams come true.

We worked together to renovate our own home. We enjoy working together on projects and are always thinking of new projects to try! We live in a quiet neighborhood close to a school. Our neighbors are friendly and helpful.

Lisa's family lives nearby and we see them often. Lisa and her mom are particularly close; she is very excited about our plans to adopt, as are both of our families. Lisa's brothers both have young children; in fact, we are godparents to all three of Lisa's younger brother's children. Your child will have many wonderful cousins to play with and grow up with! We especially enjoy swimming together in Lisa's brother's pool. Kip's family lives in other states so our visits are less frequent. We enjoy yearly visits from Kip's sister who lives in Florida and look forward to his niece's wedding in the spring. We have a lot of friends from church and are very involved in our church. Over the years we have been involved in leading the senior high youth group. Lisa has been involved in teaching and administration of Sunday School and Vacation Bible School; Kip has led a men's study group in our home. A few years ago he was honored to be asked to deliver the sermon. We recently became part of a small couples group. Our faith is central to our lives and we believe that God is always with us.

During the summer, we love spending time at a beautiful lake. At the lake, we love taking boat rides, swimming, and canoeing. We also enjoy browsing in antique shops, looking for treasures that we can restore. This summer, Lisa's mom and both of her brother's families will join us for a family vacation at the lake!

We have tried for several years to have children. It has been a very difficult experience for us, yet we feel that children are definitely part of God's plan for us. Many people have told us that we would be wonderful parents. Over the past year we have given much thought and prayer to the option of adoption and are excited to have a child become a part of our family. We know several families who have adopted their children who have been a wonderful blessing and encouragement to us. Our home is full of laughter and love and we would shower love upon a child. We have a wonderful network of family and friends who are supportive and excited to see how God will bless us with a child. We know that everything is in His hands. We feel that it is important for a child to be in a home where they feel loved and supported and are encouraged to discover their unique gifts. We will openly share with your child the story of their adoption and already see adoption as a wonderful blessing in our lives. We will gladly share pictures and letters over the years with you if you desire.
