Although we are in very different places, we believe we share a common goal. We want your child to have a happy fun-filled childhood. As your child grows we will encourage him or her to explore and develop into their own unique person. When the time comes, we will help him or her follow their dreams by offering all the educational opportunities available.
When Jen thought about being a mom, she knew she wanted to devote her time and energy to being a stay-at-home mom. We are very fortunate that we will have this opportunity. Jen can't wait to explore the
creative imagination of a baby. All though initially we anticipate a baby creating lots of food-art and using the floor as their canvas, Jen is excited to get started with some higher level art projects such as finger painting master pieces, play-dough sculptures and one- of-a-kind sand box art.
Tony has a musical background and can't wait to introduce a child to our piano, guitars, drums, maracas and tambourine. Often Tony's parents, brothers and sisters, break out into song and dance right in the family room during the many family events. With such a close-knit large extended family it makes every get-together an instant party!
We have a large fenced-in back yard and we look forward to adding a sandbox, swing set and sliding board just like we had as kids. We have an in-ground pool which any child would love, they could learn
to swim and we are confident that they would be a hit with the other neighborhood kids. We live on a street with a cul-de-sac at the end where we anticipate teaching the child to ride their bike.
Our relationship has always been very relaxed and focused on having fun. When we play with our niece and nephew, it's sometimes tricky determining who's the biggest kid. Recently, Tony bought our nephew
laser tag and the family agreed that it was just an excuse for Tony to run around playing with the neighborhood kids. In the summertime when we have pool parties and barbeques, Tony is always the first one
to fill up the water balloons and pull out the super soakers. Our niece likes to call Jen the "Fun-aunt." Jen is the first one to get on the floor and play with her. They don't hesitate pulling all the toy figures and
animals out of the closet and creating an imaginary land without any limitations.
We have a lot of joy and love to give. We will always make the best out of things even during tough times and we will teach by example to love unconditionally, care for and respect others. We want your child to be comfortable at a young age with the fact that they were adopted. They will know of the loving and selfless decision that you had to make for them. If you would like letters, we envision the child helping pick out the accompanying pictures with us to send you over the years as they grow.
Thank you for reading our letter and taking the time to get to know us.
